Make no mistake. Bible reading or not, nothing this administration does resembles the message of Christ, thereby not integrating Christianity into official business. Integrating Trump. For Donald J. Trump, business is about himself. His agenda. His aggrandizement. His fragile ego.

Remember when Dan Quayle misspelled a word and it was the end of his political career?

#Astros scored 11 runs but had 17 LOB. That’s a ton of LOB and a lot of runs. Wondering about the most LOB+runs for a team in a game where LOB was higher than runs. Can anyone find a game with more than 28 combined? @slangsonsports.bsky.social @enosarris.bsky.social @chandlerrome.bsky.social

Do AI evangelists actually want to be good at writing? All the tools I see appear to be aimed at people who know they are bad writers, don’t want to be good writers, but sometimes have to write for some reason and don’t want to look like a dope. All of the tools seem to be aiming for that.

My sympathetic read of this is that everyone just wants to reach other people and the reason artists get held in such high regard is that they are able to do that in ways most of us can’t. AI offers a chance to steal the magic; of course it’s seductive. But it’s still not the thing

There’s no logic to Tammy Fogle. I live in Abilene, and she’s known (even among conservatives) as a crank and irrational provocateur. That said, given the disturbing fascist-leaning tendencies in our country, even the fringe cranks can be dangerous. Proud of any librarian who advocates like this.

Change the name from “Robert Mueller” to “Charlie Kirk,” and let me know how much of a revolt from the right-wing, fascist, MAGA crowd we would see.

i know this isn’t new insight, but it really is infuriating that we’re the only ones who have to play by whatever idiotic rules of decorum the right invents

For anyone is keeping track of the numerous, blatant corruptions of the Trump administration, there’s no way that’s anything less than a full-time job for a large team.
Trump definitely giving Russian oligarchies a run for their money for sure.

Every time I watch a Formula 1 race, I can’t help but think, “Why haven’t one of the back-grid racers deployed a blue shell yet?”

Interesting that Chinese Taipei was on both the losing and winning ends of these records in this 2026 WBC alone!

Frankly, I’m rooting for either a Norris repeat or for Hamilton to reclaim the top.

At this point in time, if you have any clue what “hoppy” means, there is a better than likely chance that whatever craft beer you taste is a “hoppy IPA.” So the odds were in your favor.

What’s really striking in Saruman’s speech to Gandalf is how broadly (and unusually for Tolkien) relevant it is. Take out the one specific reference to the Elves and Númenor and it is just an absolute classic rationale for collaborating with evil in the confidence you can ultimately direct it.

I was only half paying attention, but wasn’t it Gavin Dickey (farm director) who said that on the broadcast today? Sure, grain of salt and all, but I’d give that more weight than Kalas.

I see no incongruence: patterns/ tactics/ strategy can’t capture nuance of human experience. As much as I love games, the elements of decision are all available for evaluation. But with people, there are critically important inner experiences that are unknown must be included, however difficult.

Every country has its problems in government, but it’s nice to have an example in the world of how partisan politicians can come together to actually deal with an aspiring/emerging dictator.
