I dont usually plug my employer here, but I’m often surprised how many people think #CDW just sells hardware and licensing when we actually offer professional services for all sorts of platforms. Even fewer know we do both #JAMF & #Intune projects and health checks.

Score! My vacation project this year is going to be getting at least one of these old G4s and G5 restored. What greater puzzle is there than a lot of old equipment from a retiree’s basement?

I was asked at #JNUC today what type of things are worth submitting for sessions and I told them “Anything you would want to learn about.” It’s a user conference. You don’t need anything big to make it interesting. We appreciate passion and new people want to learn as much about anything they can
My first #JNUC Spotlight Session just dropped. Everything about Secure and Bootstrap tokens you need to know in less than 15 minutes.

Visibility map for the Great American Eclipse 2024
The #greatamericaneclipse part 2 will be at least partially visible across the continental US in less than 4 days. Dont miss it!
Life Pro Tip: Whenever you order loaded nachos from a place that also sells burritos, ask for a single soft shell tortilla to be put under the chips. It will catch all the stuff that falls off and then you can either tear it or roll it up to eat.
Nothing like waiting all day for a 3D print to fit a solar filter on my telescope just to find out it’s millimeters too small. Always double check your tolerances kids.
Not only that but you have logic circuitry to observe critically and wonder how and why. All of which was born from those far places, traveled countless light years, to be assembled by mere proteins into the organic machine that is now sharing those thoughts wirelessly with others across the globe.
Today is a Blink 182 and Yellow Card kind of day.
Snow immediately after a beautiful spring day.
Ah, life in the Midwest where we can literally wear snow pants in the morning and shorts by the afternoon. It was a beautiful 65 degrees yesterday… and now this…
This is the chunky retro future aesthetic we deserved.
Well… here I go down the “old meme” rabbit hole again! That should keep me occupied for at least 15 minutes. 😅
I’ve actually seen this issue a number of times over the last year with both different apps and MDMs. It’s never been clear why and usually goes away on its own over time. It’s something to look for in case we find a common cause. Curse those pesky MDM gremlins and their mysteries.
Now that we can use tags, where are my fellow #jamf or #intune people at? Tell me your craziest solution you ever deployed. No wrong answers as long as it worked.
Sing it from the rooftop! It’s only hard if you don’t have the right tool. unfortunately most Windows admins just don’t have the time or patience to learn and the short term spend to start is a hard sell when you’re already hemorrhaging operating costs on old solutions that don’t support new work.
Nice. #hashtag #poundsign #test
Or you can be super subtle. My youngest son’s full name phonetically sounds like the birth name of a well known super hero, but only when shortened a specific way. Imperceptible to anyone else but makes me smile when I hear it and that’s all that matters.
Discovery may not have been my favorite flavor of Trek, but it certainly opened the door for new life and new civilizations to be explored. The characters are great and the action puts it among the best modern sci-fi shows today. Thank you for breathing new life into what was a dying IP!
Bring back glassy/glossy UI. The flat fogged transparency we have today is great, but I always felt giving buttons more texture made them feel physical and “well built”… especially back when the dock gave the illusion of depth like an actual shelf.
Wow. That was my first digital camera. I can still feel that awful button clicking louder than me cursing at the slow capture delay.
Sent them photos of random gift card I found on the internet and an Apple Card that says you have to scan it to activate it.
Sent him an email with a fake link for activation instructions to capture his IP and device details
Mocked them for using an old Android version.
Forwarded everything to Nigerian Police Fraude Department… not expecting it to do anything but it feels good.
Facebook scammer tried to spoof as my Mother-in-law to loop the whole family into the latest Publishers Clearing House script. Spent all morning posing as a church with Apple gift cards to cash out. Not sure why they couldn’t claim them. I even sent him a link to walk him through it. 🤷♂️
Oh man… The OG iPod has been on my wishlist forever. If I still had one I’d rock a modded iPod Video as my daily driver.
Agreed. Though if the reviews are to believed, using it for a virtual workspace would be a perfect application. Though the price needs to come way down to meet the cost of an enterprise workstation. Just imagine being able to seamlessly plug it into a Mac mini or studio for the added horse power!
Now if only there was a company out there looking to pilot these devices in Jamf so I can convince my employer to get me one… 😉
My profile header showing a custom domain handle.
Loving the idea of account verification via domain name records. Easy and effective.
It seems to have been taken down. I can’t find it on the App Store either by name or developer.
Jamf Pro 11.2.1 released and includes a fix for broken access controls during enrollment workflows. If you haven't at least upgraded to 11.2 yet... let me remind you that it has dark mode! Cloud customers will see this release roll out 2/16-17
