a screenshot of a twitter video from artemis ii commander reid wiseman showing the porthole of the integrity capsule in focus in the stark contrasted lighting of outer space in the foreground as the moon and earth, fuzzy from a depth of field effect, hang in the vacuum and are bisected by the edge of the porthole.

in general i mostly like the critical role animated series. the main thing they have going against them is that it's so blindingly obvious that it's adapted from an actual tabletop campaign. it really detracts from the fiction most of the time.

thinking about how so many things are just not allowed to end anymore. everything about the media ecosystem is set up for unceasing 'content'. everything's a subscription. franchises are built for an endless string of stories. nothing resolves. no growth from dead wood.
