The POETICS of Transformation: A Holistic and Open Source Lens for Change Management I was recently thinking about the impact a potential change would have, and my mind wandered to the various mnemonics and frameworks that can be used for this. My mind went to frameworks such as POPIT...

I've been mulling over frameworks like POTI, POPIT (™️), McKinseys 7S etc and it's really interesting that "ethics" isn't directly referenced...

Here's my attempt at creating an open-source alternative:

It's a work in progress!

UK local government is at a pivotal moment.

As PD Director Gavin Beckett writes, it’s time to start building dynamic service organisations to respond to the challenges of today.

Our event on 27 November will explore how we can build a movement across the sector.

If you weren't sure if it would suit, you could put it in a room for a trial period?

Slightly building on #1, some public services are things people don't want to do / buy but are compelled to by government. Also, often quite different governance, design decision making bodies and funding models - not just btwn private and public but among public servs too

Tony Blair is wrong – AI will not magically solve our public services Too many people might be left out of its revolution.

As the PM makes a speech on using more AI in public services, here’s a piece from a few months back on how not to screw this up.

‘Taking the time to do things right isn’t anti-innovation – it is what is required to get deep-rooted change in social systems.’

Word of the Day is one I keep posting at the end of the year, hoping its time will come.

‘Respair’, from the 16th century, is fresh hope, and a recovery from despair.

Here’s to a few drops of respair in 2025.

League tables to reveal failing NHS trusts Hospitals in England will be ranked on care and finances, so patients can look for good service.

NHS league tables.

Sigh.
