Stop reading books you don't enjoy. Just stop. If you're 50 pages in and you hate it, stop reading. There are so many other books. Give that one away, find another one.

People that can have the tv or music on while they’re talking on the phone have a special superpower IMO.
I cannot talk on the phone with background sound. My brain can do many things at once but not those things.
I wrote Queerly Autistic as the book I desperately wish I'd had as a young queer autistic person.
I know what it was like trying to figure myself out without access to this sort of information, and how vulnerable that made me.
Knowledge is empowerment - and safety.

Star Trek: First Contact; Data wearing a late season DS9 uniform (which was the style at the time), sitting at ops and turning to address the commanding officer, with caption: April 4th, 2063
The only benefit of chronic fatigue is cats and dogs love to nap with me, they get it
Remembering Heath Ledger on his birthday 💞
Star Trek was one of the first TV shows to show a future where humanity actually improved.
No money-driven society.
No internal wars on Earth.
Different cultures working together.
In the middle of the Cold War…
that idea was radical.
Sci-fi as optimism.
My fave♥️
I hope everyone who is reading this has the best day possible.
I love rebranding; Autistic People's Month.
It asserts that we autistic people are capable of self recognition.
That its for neither medical professionals nor ableist presses to gatekeep us.
That the most important voices to listen to re autism are autistic adults & kids
Nothing about us without us!
A still from Twin Peaks featuring David Duchovny as the character Denise and David Lynch as Agent Cole. The text reads: And when you became Denise, I told all of your colleagues, those clown comics, to fix their hearts or die.
All day, every day. Transphobes are not welcome here.
People who assert science fiction should not be political have never read any…
much less watched any actual science fiction
Happy Trans Day of Visibility.
This scene from Rugrats will ALWAYS be relevant.
I was determined to take a study break from uni after this term, but now I'm not so sure.
I know 4 months between terms isn't enough to deal with my burnout, but a year feels like far too long, and might lead to issues with my DSA/adjustments.
Hmm..
“He knew more about cartoons than you or I ever will (trust me on this) yet he was incredibly generous with his time and his talent. And my God, could he make you laugh! When it comes to humor, it takes a special kind of genuis to be both dry and warm. Barry was both"

We wish a very happy birthday to Marina Sirtis, who played Counselor Deanna Troi on Star Trek: The Next Generation, then on Voyager, Enterprise, Lower Decks, and in four movies—and again in Star Trek: Picard. LLAP!
An AuDHD woman at a gig reportedly singing along to about a third of the songs, if she’s lucky, genuinely does listen to the artist’s music all the time, it has been insisted.
Lucy Lawless in Xena : Warrior Princess
Lucy Lawless in Battlestar Galactica
Lucy Lawless in Spartacus
Lucy Lawless in Ash vs Evil Dead
Happy 58th birthday to Lucy Lawless, who has always understood the assignment.

I promise y'all that whatever I was trying to read is not worth that much trouble. I'll either get it elsewhere or just forget about trying to read it entirely.🤷🏾♂️
In my life, I'd learned that at least 4 authors whose work I had loved were actually Very Problematic People.
I got rid of their books & never revisted them again.
These folks weren't actively trying to reduce the rights of freedoms of my friends and I.
Let it go, friends. There are other books.
No more Star Trek soon and that's sad. That's all I wanted to say. Spread love not hate. Live Long and Prosper 🖖🏽
Graphic with a pale yellow border. It says "Scottish LGBTQIA+ Manifesto 2026-2031" On the right side are the Equality Network, Scottish Trans, LGBT Youth Scotland, LGBT Health and Wellbeing and LEAP Sports logos. At the bottom is a faded image of the outside of the Scottish Parliament, with an image of a waving progress pride flag on top.
Today we’re launching our LGBTQIA+ manifesto ahead of the Scottish Parliament elections on the 7th of May, with our partners:
Equality Network, @scottishtrans.bsky.social, @leapsports.bsky.social, LGBT Youth Scotland & LGBT Health and Wellbeing.
