Let's get this circulated!! 😤
Mexico and Canada just gave a masterclass in handling Trump: let him brag, give him a face-saving win, and walk away having conceded nothing. The Big Picture unpacks how this strategy could keep him in check on the world stage.
Thank you so much Liz!!
I’m excited to announce that Littoral Magic, written by my husband Aaron Mason and myself is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A fantasy adventure that will have special appeal to lovers of all things furry, it is also a poignant tale of love and loss, warfare and magic.

I know he killed someone and that premeditated murder is wrong, but is it wrong of me to want to contribute to his defense fund and wear a Free Luigi T-shirt?
Exactly!
A very simple one in Japanese, since I just started studying it. With Spanish, I can get basic needs met if I’m in a situation where no or little English is spoken, and I can read and write pretty well.
I’m a veterinarian, but I left general practice about 3 years ago. I no longer work from an office from which I can do exams and tests. All my friends know this. And yet, they insist on calling me when they think their pet is having an emergency. AITA for wishing they’d just stop?
I am using Duolingo to learn Japanese and Spanish. I like it but since it’s the only language learning program I’ve tried, I can’t offer much in the way of comparison. I’ve come a long way with Spanish but online learning can’t take you all the way to fluency. Still Duo is a good start.
I still like reading and writing about sexy young couples, but it’s a nice change of pace to see middle aged people getting as busy as the young’ uns. And one big advantage of writing about older women-my protags never worry about unwanted pregnancy! ☺️
Hi,
I’m a mature woman who writes paranormal smut and whose protags are mature women with younger men who aren’t necessarily human.
My current project is a twist on the cat lady trope. I hope there are mature readers out there who would be interested in seeing a story like this. 🌶️📚
I’m trying very hard to keep my Apocalypse Hamster from spinning its wheel at light speed in my brain, but with how this dumpster fire of an administration is shaping up, it’s not going so well.
For me, the scenery is there, just very fuzzy. I ‘see’ my characters within it in a general sense, but only after they speak to me can I then concentrate on bringing the environment into focus.
When I sit down to write a first draft, the dialogue always comes first for me. My characters talk and I transcribe what I hear. Then, I go back and fill in all the action and color. Fellow authors, how ‘bout you? ✍️

#SSFtalk Gonna return the favor and hype @kiraofthewind.bsky.social She writes some of the freshest, most original fantasy I’ve ever read. Her world building is outstanding, and her characters are fully realized, nuanced people.
Hey Kira!! Yes, I think I finally found a worthy replacement for Twitter. I tried Threads and it just isn’t doing it for me. I won’t entirely abandon it but I don’t think I’ll spend much time over there. Oh, and Zan says hi!
Gonna settle in with my pumpkin spice latte and do some work on my latest manuscript-as yet untitled book 3 of The Nuetierra Chronicles. I’ve got about 30K words so far. #Booksky
I feel very lucky that I was born and raised here in California.
Thanks to a person I met at a Star Trek con, I got turned on to the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. I’m an OG D&D player and these books have sucked me in. They are so clever and well-written. If you aren’t into RPGs, probably not for you, tho. 🪐📚
Most have no choice. They were born there, or migrated there, and have no way to leave, even if they want to. They are trapped. The lucky few who do have a way to get out and want to leave, will. It’s a very sad situation.
