This was interesting read! I am a definetly one of "those", meaning my first solo effort to Steam. I have though released about 10 games as part of my co-founded company. And having experience of doing mobile games, the "lottery ticket" vs. actual Good Stuff / Effort in Steam is still pretty ok!

New gameplay footage of Wonderland (finally)! Gravity was super glitchy in my build, so hired a coder to do the gravity implementation and he's done a fantastic job! Can't wait to start building on this. Also some footage of the players "Gravity sync" ability.

You need the basic gameplay down for sure, but everything else can be just bit and pieces, or as I call them "nice looking corners". I think this is actually very common practise in trailers.
