one of the first things I ever learned to sew was a simple 9 square quilt with my grandma, who was a quilter and artist. it's been fun to return to this time-honored craft and meld it with another in this latest collection of hand bound journals.

It's not your work, it's just the unlucky fate of the algorithm. It's so hard not to let it get to you, but don't use that as the metric for success. It's a gorgeous little piece and so cozy feeling 🤍

Girl, you're not alone. I'm taking each day moment by moment. Some days I get an hour (total, not consecutively), some days I get 5 minutes. Rides the wave my friends 🤍
It's certainly a balancing act and some days I accept it better than others, but I know this time while they are little is so short. I can't get it back but Ill always have the chance to get back to the studio
slow, like reaaaal slow, and hopefully steady is the new mantra here in the studio. been squeezing in time to bind and create in five, sometimes, ten minute intervals.

While having this nice of weather this early in February is not the norm, even here in the South, I am taking full advantage of being able to get the studio outside to soak in the sun. hoping to bring out so many new handbound journals for the cottontown art crawl happening March 8th.
