I'm not here to defend Coney, but the idea of personal experience itself. I'm actually curious about what you think of those games. What is the personal experience that you've had that made you appreciate them? All of us notice and appreciate different things, and I think that's cool to share ^^

Opinions on art can never be objective. That an opinion is wide-spread doesn't make it objective, just popular. So reducing a list like this to "E.T." and "Superman 64" is a bit dull (anyone can make that assessment). What I appreciate of this list is that it is personal. It's about experience.

Art is subjective, and we feel a strong attachment to art. Some titles come from games/series with great attachment to him that just changed in fundamental ways, removing elements that he saw as elevating (as what made them great). These just became unbearable/frustrating or ruined them for him.
