A recent CPRU paper in
@ijpds.bsky.social found 25% of all children living in England are recognised as a child in need by children's social care. One third are referred to children's social care at least once before 18y ijpds.org/article/view...

In a recent paper, we support a systems approach to address barriers to support for families experiencing intimate partner violence and mental health problems. There is a need to address the gap between child mental health and domestic abuse services www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...
There was really high missing data in CSDS. From government statistics, we know that 79% of 2 years olds have this measure of child development collected but only 15% of children in CSDS had this data in their record.
86% of 2y olds met expected level of development with inequalities across groups.
This is important for the Government's commitment to increasing the proportion of children 'ready to learn' at age 4-5 years.
