I love the idea that if we are in line to report being raped we should just…stay in line.

At the risk of making myself deeply unpopular in my own community, I had an abysmal experience trying to vend at Pride downtown last year. I want to see small community Pride events where we actually know each other.

And where there is accountability at a community level.

Someone in the community is teaching on neurosomatic calming methods.
There is an elder queers support group starting up in a few months.
Did you know about any of these?

For example, a group is teaching a free monthly class on consent and negotiating safe practices (in sex and in life)
One space is offering room for all kinds of sober queer meet ups and just opened
A group is offering pay what you can classes on body mobility

It’s weird how I see the local queer outlets focus on the same groups over and over, but there are a bunch of newer queer orgs in PGH doing education and creating safe spaces, and getting zero mentions.

FUCKING THIS.

EVERY DAMN DAY we have to deal with a whole bunch of putting some man's "value to society" over our basic humanity. EVERY DAY. "But he'll be a good president." Find someone else. "But he's a good comedian." So will someone else be. "But he catches footballs good." FUCK OFF WITH THAT.

I encourage every one to explore the concept of more than one thing happening at a time.
