recently i’ve been using unprocessed reclaim for my trimming lugs, and then using them to pull my handles. the clay being slightly on the drier side and a tiny bit short makes it easier for me to not overload the handle. then i can attach it basically right away!

with my sword club in seattle at least i was established. i could show up for practice and then sit out half of it and just chat with my friends there, and we had plenty of parties and social things i could partake in despite being too disabled to fence a lot of the time. i miss it
man. it’s really frustrating having a ton of health stuff come up as soon as i’ve moved because now i can’t be around the kinds of people i actually feel good around. how am i supposed to find the martial arts spaces i feel at home in when i can’t really roll around and fight?

tried out tetrapak intaglio printing!
milk cartons can be used for intaglio printing instead of metal plates - after inking, the shiny metallic parts end up printing in grey, and parts where the metal layer has been scratched away absorb ink and print a dark black.
