The photographic world is changing. An unreal reality is pushing forward — a cheap world without flaws, fast, polished… but one that has never truly existed, and never will.

For those of us who appreciate real photography rather than AI-generated fiction, this is one of those images.

I’ve asked this question before, & I intend to keep asking:

When will Donald Trump be prosecuted for the staged assassination which led to the death of two people?

A crisp view of the Photosphere! ☀️

Captured with my DSLM camera and a mandatory solar protection filter, these sunspots are magnetic giants larger than Earth. Even though they look dark, they are still a blistering 3,500°C but still cooler than their surroundings!

“Morning golf offers the most ideal playing conditions…cooler air, more predictably, less stress, better focus”—yet golf lobbyists promote Daylight Saving Time, which darkens mornings, deprives sleep, and reduces performance!

Spilka missteps in backing push to make daylight saving permanent

Senate President Karen Spilka has failed to heed the concerns of advocates for health and safety with her push for permanent daylight saving time (“A push is on in the Senate to stop changing the clocks,” Metro, March 16).

In a press release this month in support of a bill under which Massachusetts would observe Atlantic standard time year-round, she said that the measure “would be better for our health [and] safer for our roads.” The bill’s sponsor, Senator John F. Keenan, said it “would decrease energy usage,” reduce the risk of heart attacks, strokes, and car accidents, “and increase workplace productivity.” Such statements are based on an assumption that ending the harms of clock changes would be an improvement with any permanent time…

I just set up a couole of simple routines for her - "turn on the TV" and "turn off the TV". All of the components then either turn on or off. Easy easy. My Echo unit handles the rest.

Opinion: Let’s end daylight saving time this year
By Lisa Alexia
Published: April 7, 2026

Alaska legislators have the power to eliminate daylight saving time this year, without federal intervention, by opting out of DST as Arizona, Hawaii and the territories have done. This would provide an extra hour of morning light during spring, summer and fall, which in turn would provide Alaskans substantial health, safety, educational and ultimately financial benefits. Three current bills purport to end DST, but only one can actually do this. The Alaska House State Affairs Committee heard SB 26 and HB 229 in Juneau on March 28 and heard HB 41 on March 31, along with invited and public testimony for those bills.

HB 229 would end DST and the clock change this year. HB 229 would not change winter light patterns, but would shift to more morning light in the spring, summer and fall. Although this may only total four to six weeks of total time before the clocks recalibrate to…

Daylight savings time is bad for our health. Here’s what to do about it

How to adjust to losing an hour of sleep

By Tom Howarth
Published: March 28, 2026 at 3:00 am

It feels cruel, doesn’t it? Being forced to lose a precious hour of sleep. In the UK, British Summer Time (BST) begins on 29 March, 2026. At 1am local time, clocks move forward by one hour, skipping to 2am.

Beyond making you feel a little bit more sleepy tomorrow, however, scientists are becoming increasingly concerned that the switch to BST could be having negative effects on our health.

“There is a small uptick in stroke, heart attacks, traffic accidents and sleep loss around the time of the clock change,” professor of neurology and director of the Vanderbilt Sleep Division Dr Beth Malow tells BBC Science Focus.

The effects of 'springing forward' are felt by the young as well as the old, too. One study published in the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine in 2015, for example, found that teens…

“There are health effects for almost eight months related to shifting light away from morning (due to clock change) and into evening. We need morning light to wake, align biological clocks, and improve mood.”

Newspaper clipping from April 1, 1988. Headline: “The Candy Makers Love It – Daylight-Savings Law Leaves Kids Out in the Cold”.

“Children huddled in dark and cold for the school bus! And has any DST backer tried putting a 10-year-old to bed at 9pm in daylight?” To profit golf and candy merchants, Congress extended DST from 6 to 7 months long—on this day in 1988.
