I've always hated the Knicks. Go, Jalen Johnson!

Funny. City of Nets was there, too. An unusually enjoyable game for this season.
Yeah, I've been giving him the benefit of the doubt, hoping he'd turned a new corner, etc. But .. trade him for whatever you can get. Even a second round draft pick.
Our lineup out there right now against the Hawks is Chaney Johnson, Tyson Etienne, Jalen Wilson, Josh Minott, and Terance Mann? Seriously? No offence to our guys (whom I love dearly because they are Nets), but ... what the hell is this? Oh. Wait. Sorry. They just subbed in Liddell. #NetsWorld
Yeah. This one didn't make sense to me. He had great energy on the court.
Doc Rivers raved about him after his first game. But even Rivers is only willing to play Cam 19 minutes per game. On an under-.500 team.
In 136 minutes so far with Milwaukee, Cam Thomas has 0 steals and 0 blocks. #NetsWorld
I was at Barclays last night and I won this little notebook... for free!
Claxton and Clowney have become role players. I think Claxton is better at his role than Clowney is. But despite his improvements this year, Nic has never ventured to change his fundamental role. Sharpe, on the other hand, seems hungry this year. He's eager to become something other than he's been.
Or forget numbers and just watch the games. DayRon has become a lot more confident in every aspect of the game. His style has changed. More hook shots. More passing from the top of the key. Better court vision. Many more steals because he's always looking to strip the ball whenever he gets near it.
So true. Claxton has gotten a lot better this year. But so has DayRon. Look at Claxton's numbers and Sharpe's side by side (adjusted per possession or per minutes). DayRon actually looks a little better.
No!
He has checked out. He has spiralled into a depression. Which is one thing. But it's starting to affect his teammates and his coach.
I was at Barclays last night. And that ending was about as heartbreaking as I've experienced. #NetsWorld
Yes, it's been an emotional drift, which will continue for a couple more weeks of holiday travel with family members who are--shockingly!--not Nets fans.
Thinking of a box score as a 10-5-3 game, just as thinking of it as a 5-5-5 game, might be revealing. #NBA #NetsWorld

The Triple Nickel might be more revealing than the Triple Double. #NBA #NetsWorld

I've never liked him, either. He's an inefficient shooter on a bad contract.
Hey, thanks, Doug. That 2018-19 year with Atkinson & LeVert, Allen, Dinwiddie, Harris, and Russell was my favorite year as a Brooklyn Nets fan. I'm starting to feel a bit the same way for this new squad. It's good to be rooting for a bunch of young guys who are building a narrative.
Thanks!
Yeah, Colin: you and I were thinking along the same lines that Jordi should use Wolf like he's using Claxton. He's a much more talented passer. The results could be electric in the long run. His game style could end up being very much like Jokic's.
Danny Wolf is a beautiful--but perhaps inefficient--passer. #NetsWorld #NBA

Claxton has become an assists-machine, not a passing-machine, because Jordi Fernandez has designed the offense along a Galactic Center Model. #NBA #NetsWorld

It's a good question. NBA.com has stats that track how near/far the closest defender is for each shot. Presumably, they get this stuff from Synergy Sports. One could check it out. But I've been skeptical in the past about the usefulness/validity of Synergy's numbers.

Terance Mann is an intriguing High Efficiency but Low Frequency Shooter. #NBA #NetsWorld

Claxton is getting a lot more assists this year partly because he's much more consciously assessing potential passing lanes. #NBA #NetsWorld
One way you can judge defensive skills is by looking at position-relative stocks per possession #NBA #NetsWorld
There is Hope: Michael Porter, Jr., is Becoming a More Explosive Scorer #NBA #NetsWorld
I love Drake's intensity on court. Whenever he's guarding someone, he stares at them as if his eyes are piering through their bodies. He acts like he's the high priest of some weird religion of whose existence only he has become aware.
