for decades as a gamer I don't think I ever saw a placeholder texture in a live game and suddenly in the space of two years there are a dozen cases of OH THAT AI WAS JUST MEANT TO BE A PLACEHOLDER

“Separate the art from the artist” is a nuanced concept that should be reserved for dead creators only, whose legacies we have to grapple with in the context of history. It should NOT be used for living creators actively doing harm. That’s my two cents.
