Phew. Just getting back from 3 weeks supporting a sick family member in London ON.
"Catching up" but of course, just in time for holiday downtime. But feeling a lot of pressure with things on my plate.

In case you were wondering, I absolutely can’t drink a coffee and ride a scooter.
Dinner plate with cucumber + tomatoes dish, boiled potatoes (Salzkartoffeln), and chicken drumstick. A Stanley Park Brewing Parklandia Hazy IPA is behind the plate and a glass of that beer is at right. The beer was … not good. That’s what I get for just drinking random leftovers at my parents house.

I am actually feeling a lot better and slept all day but I have to get some more fluids and eat something.
It’s been a great week in NYC but now I’m holed up in my hotel room drinking ginger ale & feeling sick.

Went and grabbed lunch at like 2:10pm at Kita No Donburi that I haven’t been to in a long time.
Walked over to Sinclair Centre.
I hung out at Z-Space just kind of drained.
So I played the new Hierophant class in WH40K Inquisitor for a couple of hours.
The Asus Zenbook that I put Bazzite on is still kind of potato but it is an old game.
Then I got on the phone for an hour with Air Canada to rebook basically the same flight tomorrow.
This was kind of the most stressful part.
The payment link didn’t work with 2 of my 3 credit cards (even though they all work in the Air Canada site).
I arrive 9:30am or so. Pleasantly surprised by short 5min wait.
Explained the situation, signed form in two more spots, then like a 2min wait and I was up in the processing line.
It was $100 more for emergency, but they said they could get it done by 2:30pm TODAY.
I already had the form filled out mostly because I knew I had to renew.
Finished the form, first passport photo place didn’t open until 11am, second place took them on the spot.
Then cab direct to passport office.
Today has been stressful. I was supposed to fly out to Barcelona for a team retreat.
Turns out, errors with online checkin were from having a passport that expires in less than 3 months, which means you can’t get into Europe.
So back home, scramble for emergency passport renewal.
