WCAG AAA rated

But did you have to Comic Sans right in front of my sandwich?

I'm absolutely sure I opted out of this a long time ago.

The email they sent about this a few days ago explicitly stated that "If you already opted out, your choice has been remembered".

The fact this was set to 'enabled' proved that was a lie.

Seemed to be same for me, so just CTRL + F and search for "allow git", then return a few times until you find the setting that they show in the screenshot

Not to mention taking the network requests and dropping the CURL into Insomnia or another REST client to sometimes potentially get around having to load up 15mb of website just for 15kb of JSON and not having to worry about cookies or localstorage πŸ‘€

(Doesn't always work, awesome when it does)

Small independent label might not have the funding to maintain or keep original footage, or to spend time remastering.

Possibly that they've just not remastered them, maybe the masters themselves were lost in the archives.

When they made this album, they were signed to 'Barsuk', a small independent label. It was after that, that they signed to a subsidiary of Warner Music.

Nestle would prefer to get their hands on water instead, but since Huel needs water...

Nestle to the left of me,
Danone to the right!
Here I am, stuck in the middle with Huel.

SYMCA, if you're listening, please consider doing something similar.

(I gave feedback about night-run services in the future public bus service survey they ran a while ago, no idea if they're considering it)

A certain well-known UK high street bank (which features purple as its predominant colour) is recommending the β€˜Honey’ app and extension.

Yeah, the same Honey that was found to be doing shady stuff and had class-action lawsuits raised against it.

On the left, is some normal CSS with a white box under, labelled "DLSS 5 Off"

On the right is some Tailwind slop, attached to a div with an onClick event which triggers an alert saying "Built with Claude".

Under that, a white box which has a green line under it, captioned "DLSS 5 On"

As someone who's played WoW since 2007, and had a very good time with epic battlegrounds over the years (much more than non-epic BG's), I am extremely disappointed at Slayer's Rise.

New battlegrounds are few and far between, with epic ones being exceptionally rare. That is why such implementations need to be basically flawless from the get-go.

Sure, maybe some minor issues in places, but players should understand instinctively what to do and how to achieve it.

I shouldn't be too concerned with objectives that are outside the lanes. Maybe they begin minion spawning, or increase the effectiveness of our towers.

At no point though, should they be 'major' contributors. They should be nice extra bonuses, but not game-deciding on their own.

I should be able to see that further behind those walls and gates, there's another set of walls, gates, and towers, again painted with the enemy faction colours.

That's signposting. That's instinctively showing me where I should probably focus my next efforts in order to move forwards.

I should be able to continue down the lane, see that there's a tower painted with the enemy faction logo and understand that it's going to barrage me with damage if I get close.

I should be able to see there's a gate I can attack by using my abilities (NOT siege damage mechanics).

I should be able to run down a lane, see that there is a tower facing away from me painted in my faction colours, and that there's also a gate and walls nearby. I instinctively know that this is a place I should try to protect.

There also shouldn't be any 'stealth foliage' where an entire team could hide (like there is in MOBA games).

The focus should be on funneling players into common locations - defending near their own gates, fighting near the enemy gates - and making objectives easily understandable.

Towers detect stealth + 1-shot pets. Any DPS or healer could try to tank but will need significant healing to survive (compared to a tank).

Consider adding in some ways to move between lanes, but make sure players can't bypass entire sections (i.e. no double-jump + glide, no shadow-step, etc).

A better idea for this battleground would be making it akin to a tower-defense.

Ground-mount only, powerful towers + gates + walls, minion NPC's running along the lanes. Towers are super-dangerous, so tanks have a purpose.

Destroying a gate opens up the next section in that lane.

I was super-excited that we were getting a new epic battleground for the first time since Ashran (almost 10 years ago).

Instead of an epic experience, I'm left disappointed and frustrated. An otherwise incredible expansion (so far) has been let down by this battleground.

Signpost, and confirmation. Critical elements that are completely missing from Slayer's Rise battleground.

Players go in, and it is not explicitly clear what the goal is, or how to achieve it. We're just thrown into this massive area where we can fly but only some of the time, and no clear goal.

When you capture one of the enemy towers / bunkers in AV, a big announcement is made about what will happen - example: "The Stonehearth Bunker is under attack! If left unchecked, the Horde will destroy it!". After some time, "The Stonehearth Bunker has been destroyed by the Horde!".

2 weeks ago 0 0 1 0

The main point I'm getting at is that it's overly-confusing.

Look at Alterac Valley as an example. You have 1 type of 'capture point' (towers / bunkers). You don't have to do mental loops or read a manual to figure out that you should probably go to those places.

Fifth: 'flag on the map'. I opened the map a few times, and one time, I saw an enemy faction flag indicator moving towards some objective. I have no idea what purpose it served, or if I should go there instead of staying at a capture point. What purpose does it serve?

2 weeks ago 0 1 1 0

One moment we're at 200 points, the next we've lost the game, but players still have no idea how or what they could have done to prevent it. Once again, no signposting.

2 weeks ago 0 0 1 0

Fourth: 'points'. In every other battleground with reinforcements, they tick down on kills.

In Ashran, killing the 'tower mage' takes out ~30 points or so, but kills are the main source of point deduction.

Yet, it isn't clear how points work in Slayer's Rise. Again - no signposting.

Third: objectives. The objectives make zero sense. How do refinery, the bastions, the sparring ground, and the other objectives play into the battleground? I see they're marked as 'neutral' by default, which indicates I capture them, but what benefit does it offer?

Second: End-goal. What is the end-goal of the battleground? Is there an end-boss to kill? Do we just capture objectives until points drain? There's zero signposting about what we're meant to do.

2 weeks ago 0 0 1 0

First: flight. Why is it not signposted that we can fly until the BG starts? But also, why does flight only last a certain duration - why do I get thrown off after 10/15/20/whatever seconds?
