These urban trees shade our streets, support wildlife, and bring beauty to our community all year round. As we celebrate National Tree Week 2026, it’s a perfect moment to pause, look up, and appreciate the trees that grow alongside us.

Spring begins to stir in Kilrush, our town’s trees are quietly awakening. Their branches are still bare. Life is returning beneath the bark. Buds prepare to burst in the weeks ahead.

After 2 weeks of heavy rain interfering with our clean-up schedule, we were delighted to get back at it tonight. Many hands certainly make light work. Burns Lane (between the AlB and the Leisure Centre) was cleared of moss between the paving and swept from end to end. Continued in comments ...
