I went to a friend's book debut party, and it was so fun! Coffee, conchas, and signs to hold up for pictures. Really makes me wish I'd written romance instead of fantasy. She really knows where the marketing is!

Tumblr is a good spot for authors with a very supportive community. I'm on the outside of it, but I can recognize its strengths. Even better if you don't care about monetization and are just looking for feedback. It's a small but mighty community.

I've been using my Patreon for that, but the fact that nobody knows who I am limits my exposure there. I've heard other sites from other authors, but I can't think of them off the top of my head.

That's terrible! In that case though, it seems more like a server issue than anything else, which I've run into a lot. I can't offer anything current except sympathy, I'm doing more java and playing WoW lately. But I swear the sympathy is fresh.

I've had SO many issues trying to get my custom skin to not just disappear, even when playing solo. It's so frustrating. I think they just want us to use their premade elements because they're "safe".

I am sick of horror that relies on cheap jump scares. I'm 51, ffs, I want to be disturbed, not just shocked.
