Was also grateful to have set up tubeless for my tires. Heard a bit burst and splat from the rear tire, but a quick spin of the tire sealed it back up. Twice this week this has happened.

115k of bliss on the bike today. Not sure if I can keep doing West Carleton rides, though. Woodkilton and Carp Rd. Have some pretty rough patches. Running 35s tubeless on a steel frame can only do so much.
Any #ottbike remember a time when it wasn’t windy? Yesterday was a lovely ride. Considering aero bars for the upcoming week.
It was the only way you ever could. For all his positioning before he was PM, about a transition to a green economy, he has been a big dud in power.
Isn’t it great having a green PM?
It's what they are doing in Toronto with Lines 5 and 6, plus the Ontario Line. I think it's more challenging seeing this government actually care enough about Ottawa to do it.
Dude still thinks Metrolinx is going to upload the Ottawa LRT 😂
I did notice this morning that one of the tires was a little soft. I loosened the valve and shook the tire around and tightened back up. Things seem to have sealed up, and it seems fine after the ride.
Shakedown ride complete. I may be comparing on some level against the 40mm Gravel King SKs I roled on yesterday, but tubeless seems to make things feel a little smoother? Maybe just that muich less resistance from the tubes? Anyways, no blowout or flats.
Yup. They’re even competitive with the GP5000 AS. Still my go to. Eager to see how they feel tubeless.
Yeah. I was there was an in between. I generally enjoy the Gravel King slicks. They are pretty hardy. But, it also says something that it can take you a little while to realize you have a flat.
Figure they are worth the premium over Gravel King slicks? I’ve heard positive things about their responsiveness, but not sturdiness.
Did you ever set your Bon Jons up tubeless?
So is handlebars. Doesn’t mean it never goes wrong. 😑
Yeah, I was quite pleased with how smooth it was, even when I used a floor pump. That said, I didn’t have to tape the rim myself, so that was one less aggravation.
I just finished my first tubeless set up. While I will wait til tomorrow to do a shakedown ride, I am immediately filled with a likely sense of regret for not having done this years earlier, given how easy it was.
In 1953 Iran had a functioning democracy. A free press. Seven political parties. Women in universities. Women granted voting rights in municipal councils in 1952. A secular prime minister named Mosaddegh who believed Iran's oil belonged to Iran. The US and Britain decided he had to go.
Been doing the Pogaçar FTP training plan?
Who is running tubeless on their bike around here? Any preference for brand? Tired of dealing with stupid crap like hidden shards of glass, so I am taking the leap.
Amazing stuff. Suddenly the NDP has an 'antisemitism problem' after electing an anti-zionist Jewish leader that calls for a wealth tax and a proper investment back into the public. It's the same bullshit Jeremy Corbyn was hit with.
Just remember: Stephen Lewis was instrumental in having The Waffle kicked out of the NDP in the mid-70s, for being too radical. He was an architect of the ho hum NDP of today.
During the pandemic, when there was a push to get a parking lane dedicated to activ e transportation, a few of us went out to delineate the space with our bikes and ourselves. Compact Music dude came out to ask us if we paid taxes, etc. Metro folks filmed us. Firm no on my dollars.
Where is everyone riding while they wait for the paths to clear of snow? Was thinking of going east out the parkway to Blackburn Hamlet and south?
Gotta move to your street. My bike is 9 years old.
#KarlMarx died on this day in 1883 but the contribution he would make was just getting started and the main event still lies ahead of us.
Regardless of when those sunlight hours come, I intend to be on my bike, or maybe at a campsite. Patio is also a strong contender.
Have now hit one of the semi-annual inflection points where I am reminded that I don't really care about the debates over daylight savings time.
Working people aren’t asking for bombs.
They’re asking for doctors, decent pay, and rent they can actually afford!
1/ Mark Carney called for a “new order” at Davos that respects human rights, sovereignty and territorial integrity. But his government's new approach to India—and its unconditional embrace of its authoritarian PM Modi—shows just how hollow that declaration really is.
