Living in VT I have great reps but was annoyed at Bernie for running again instead of gracefully handing off his seat, and I was annoyed at Welch, who was waiting for Leahy to retire like Charles waiting for his mom to die. I hope one term is enough for him. Ballant is very good, & there are others.
In the case of Feinstein, of course, it went far beyond that to the point it's clear that her staffers were running an office supporting an entity called ”Senator Feinstein”
Yeah this thread
We just got people to stop talking about this,* why would you bring it up again.
(*Not in Italy, they will talk about it for the next 3+ years, but at least the rest of the world had briefly forgotten their humiliation)
Feel like the transparency of “pretend I'm not a Republican anymore” will not fool too many voters in the newly drawn district
Huh, interesting, had not heard of it.
Great Baals of Fire
Realizing he's departing without having seen our stern rebuke, I rise hastily knocking over my chair, scrambling to unfold my pocket square, racing after him with the crumpled cloth held high, but am submarined by a secret service agent twenty feet away without him even noticing as he waddles off.

"I agree that two times two makes four is an excellent thing; but if we are dispensing praise, then two times two makes five is sometimes a most charming little thing as well.”
(RFK as the Underground Man rebelling against math and science sure, that fits)
Here, I made this for my newsletter a few months back. Feel free to share with any Cabinet members you know.
Say what you will about Colin Powells moment of utter self-debasement, at least they gave him a bag of powder
Turned up the sound and watched the whole clip, and, man, *maybe* she feels like 2028 is too early for her to run but …
Thought he could just sneak that last one in did he
?
(No, she never said those exact words, but it's a pretty decent paraphrase: www.goodreads.com/quotes/45831...)
He would still support the revolution even if he couldn't dance.
Which of Emma Goldman's positions would you say you find insufficiently radical?
As part of the restoration of the rule of law, every lawyer in the Trump admin who touched this file needs to go to jail.
Sanctions and disbarment are what you do for private abuses of the legal system. Abusing the government power of criminal indictment is another matter, and they keep doing it.
The meta story of the (imminent) Yes win in VA is the total inability of Trump to ever look down the game tree. He was apparently unable to comprehend that Democrats would respond to his push to redistrict in GOP-run states
This same pehenenon is also why we are losing a war to Iran.
lol
Hot take: the open fuck you energy of 10-1 did better than 9-2 would have. L. Louise Lucas was right. Soft-pedaling it wouldn't have sold, "you're goddamn right we are" did.
