I find viewing Hecate as a Nocturnal Deity of the moon extremely reductive. She has a very strong Solar component. Her Mother was a titan connected to the Stars.

I believe She is closer to what the ancients would call Anima Mundi, the Soul of the Universe, the void from which anything can be born
