NIH researchers were working on treatments, health equity, and saving lives—but their work was cut for being ideologically inconvenient.
Now a federal judge says: illegal.
Recently, NIHers risked everything to speak out. Stand with them here ➡️zurl.co/rqq7T

Brain at 3AM: I know you are trying to sleep, so let’s spend this time ruminating on the hellscape of your DUPR score. #pickleball
How incredibly perfect for Mike Myers to play Elon.
Tremendously valuable insights in fighting back. Worth reading all 5 articles @dailykos.com www.dailykos.com/stories/2025...
I play pickleball to burn off my stress. Nearly daily now. I feel so tight from the stress of the day when I begin, but 2 hours later I feel loose and joyful. I try to hold that as long as I can.
Economic blackout today!
I am. As well as all 3 of my adult kids.
While it’s no fun to get CT scanned, an mri, a bone biopsy under total sedation I am grateful for the lengths at which my medical team is going to make an accurate picture of my disease. And they also applied for clinical trials for me. Cancer care in the US is wonderful, a shame it’s being gutted
I’m heartbroken and outraged about Ohio State’s decision to close the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. It’s pre-compliance and it’s just wrong. Make them make us do it. Don’t bow down. History has its eyes on us.
I want to also Make America Great Again. It was great when diversity and inclusion was important. We were having meaningful conversations and taking action on racism. And we were trying to use safe language and correct pronouns. The White House was a-glow in rainbow lights. That was my America.
Federal workers are our food inspectors, air traffic controllers, park rangers and so much more. They play a vital role our everyday lives and work to keep our nation safe. Join me in support of federal employees! #ISupportFeds bit.ly/ISupportFeds
“You’re terminated because…?”
Fired federal employees are telling their stories—no deep state, just career public servants tossed aside.
DOGE’s mass firings aren’t about efficiency—they’re gutting expertise, wrecking lives, and calling it “reform.”
Bottom line- you morally can’t ask teachers to erase history, and that is what the Trump administration is doing. Learn from history, don’t erase it. So.. educators are fighting back. www.washingtonpost.com/education/20...
Critical at this time that we stand up as allies for transgender people and for all people oppressed under this regime. 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈
I should get one of those. I keep a small mason jar on a shelf over my desk. When I’m asked to do seemingly impossible tasks (or when someone gets especially cranky w me), I write them down and put them in. Just kind of…letting the universe know about this hard one. It helps me let go of it a bit.
Added these to my calendar this morning. Doing something feels better than doing nothing while it all burns. Hoping enough participate so companies feel this.
I'm currently a research administrator. The A of F&A aka overhead costs. I've also been a Payroll and financial administrator. I do the admin work that is needed to keep grants running. My work allows scientists to focus on the science.
This is so real. I found out yesterday that were submitted a large, complex, multi-site proposal…on march 7. How??
There really are only two types of people in this world.
Those who care about what happens to others and those who only care about what happens to them and theirs.
Choose wisely.
At least three people linked to Elon Musk’s DOGE task force have access to NIH systems that control budgets, procurement, and more, according to records and internal documents viewed by WIRED.
Universal health care map
70% of the world’s population has universal healthcare, but not the US
We are the only highly developed nation without it
Our healthcare is twice as expensive as the average wealthy nation
US ranks last among industrial nations for deaths that could be prevented with timely access to healthcare
I actually love January. I like cold. It’s quiet outside without mowers and blowers going. I get to read by the fireplace. No one wants to get together much and I get plenty of sleep. Third best month of the year.
Also to those of us whose report cards read: too quiet.
Amen, sister.
We love you. We see you. We are with you. We are you. ❤️ 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈 thebuckeyeflame.com/2024/11/29/w...
Anyone notice that virtually all of Trump’s cabinet picks want to destroy the department they’ll be tasked with overseeing?
