Happy Earth Day everyone! Keeping our world safe is a big task, and we're honored for the part we play via energy efficiency repairs, cutting down on the environmental impact of new construction, and more 😊 Thank you to all who help make that work possible!

Returning to client highlights, this week we focus on a city client who received new windows, a sump pump, and many more upgrades! As a single mother, such comprehensive rehab work could have put her well into the red, but with AHIP, she and her family are safe at home 😊

Close-up of a client's ceiling, showing sagging drywall from insufficient support

Sagging drywall can be indicative of many different issues, like water damage; for this client, however, the culprit was insufficient strapping support

After

Our team fixed up the ceiling and re-plastered the sagging sections, helping our client avoid a far more costly collapse down the line

This week, our crew was busy at work fixing up a city homeowner's decking and ceiling, each of which were showing signs of wear that could lead to full collapse down the road. Fortunately, with new planking and fresh plaster, this client can stay #SafeAtHome once more 😊

Did You Know?

AHIP Logo & picture of a front door

Your exterior doors' weatherstripping should be replaced every 3-5 years?

If you're not sure whether you need to replace your stripping, try some of the following:

Candle icon

Place incense next to your door. If the smoke shifts, you may have a draft!

Bill icon

Check your year-over-year billing. A big change from last year could be a sign!

Close your door, then peek through the crack to see if light shines through

#DidYouKnow falls are the leading cause of at-home injuries? Some culprits, like stairways, are obvious culprits, but others like bathtub rims often don't register in our minds until it's too late. Fortunately with AHIP's help, this client has a walk-in shower and chair lift to stay safe now 😊
