This is hard for me to understand. As a parent of a 17yr old two years in with POTS / Long Covid which includes constant fatigue and brain fog. His symptoms definitely get worse (often for days) after too much activity. Is that PEM? Does that mean he has #ME?

What’s happening to your Philly school under the proposed facilities master plan? The Philadelphia School District’s plan would close 12 schools for district use and give eight buildings back to the city. Here is a full list.

100%! It's been a rouuuugh year, but my eyes don't forget what they saw last year. Maybe not be super helpful right now, but I hope he still gets mins. Metrics show he's actually not that bad defensively b/c he's strong & smart. (Eye test is prob more accurate) but still better than J. Edwards IMO

Sure, all true. And yes, everyone (outside VJ) was struggling down the stretch, but if all these years later, we're still just running end-of-game offense through a big man who isn't an elite passer or playmaker, we can write off yet another season.

Philadelphia schools on the hook for millions in interest as state budget delay drags on The Philadelphia school district has borrowed more than $500 million to make up for missing state funding as Pennsylvania’s budget impasse has hit four months. Even once lawmakers reach a deal, the di...

Sorry to be annoying but PA STILL DOESN'T HAVE A STATE BUDGET. Philly schools are having to burn millions of $$ on interest payments just to "keep the lights on." That’s equivalent to roughly 200 teacher salaries.

Redistricting School Systems Can Increase Funding Fairness and Decrease Segregation A new report and interactive data tool show how specific redistricting choices can create fairer school systems for our children.

I'm very proud to share a new, first-of-its-kind analysis and data tool from my team at @educationwork.newamerica.org.
Redrawing the Lines is a first-ever look at how, if states draw school district borders with equity as the goal, they can HUGELY reduce funding inequality and segregation. #edusky

This is like my primary use for chat gpt. Works pretty well to paste a bunch of links and have it turn them into proper form endnotes or footnotes. Though you still have to manually paste those back into your document. There's probably a more efficient way...

How does one get such a diagnosis? How to even find doctors (who are taking new patients) that know how to do this? (asking as parent of a 17 year old child in Philly who was previously a high level athlete and for the past two years can't let go of that and keeps trying to work out only to crash).

New Dept. of Ed Rule Limits Public Service Loan Forgiveness Student advocates and higher ed lobbyists fear the suggested changes could lead to a shortfall in employees to fill high-demand, low-wage jobs.

The administration says it wants to prevent PSLF from going to employees of orgs engaged in "illegal" activity

But we already have a legal system to address that

So the only purpose here is to let the admin interpret legality as it sees fit, using a lower "preponderance of the evidence" standard
