And then the bell rang. I yelled “BUT WHAT DOES THAT MEAN!!” and they left. I was left thinking “what is a fake egg, and what about me makes someone think I’d eat one?”

Today, a few of my students told me that I have “vegan vibes.” I said “someone told me that last year but couldn’t explain what it meant. Help me understand.” And after thirty seconds of trying and failing to explain, one of them said “I dunno, you just look like you’d eat a fake egg.”

My favorite part of my Discover Feed is when it shows me this account that posts AI pictures of foxes, and then I spend ten minutes debating myself and/or wife about whether or not they’re AI, and then I check the comments to see if anyone else thinks that they’re AI. Because they’re AI. I think.

Why read books? Because reading opens minds & hearts. It helps us imagine different lives and different worlds; it can help us build a better world. So please keep reading books with kids, and encouraging them to read. There is nothing more important. #literacy #books #reading

Every year, FIL brings his Thanksgiving contribution of cranberry sauce in a Cool Whip container. Is it the SAME Cool Whip container each year, or is my man regularly slamming Cool Whip all year long? Never seen him eat/buy Cool Whip. I vow to track the container’s movements this year. Gotta know.

Roombas don’t actually do anything, right? They’re a joke, yes? Or perhaps a justification to not vacuum your house because “oh don’t worry about those chips, the roomba will get them,” correct?

i’ve been seeing people joining bluesky saying their feeds are dull or slow and want more people to follow, i put together a startpack of people i think are very funny, smart, i’m friends with, and people we had on western kabuki!

The soup was delicious.

Okay I never actually stopped watching, so now I’m doing the thing where I watch a game with a close score even though I know this is how the Browns steal more hours off my life because they’re *actually* just waiting until 425pm to cinch the loss.

I managed to watch 56-minutes of this week’s Browns game. And now’s the part of my Sunday where I turn it off, pretend I didn’t waste an hour of my life, and spend three hours making soup. Because soup never disappoints me.

Every AI commercial I see can be distilled down to “are you incompetent and/or insensitive with no desire to change or improve? Let AI make you look less like garbage!” and I could be wrong, but that seems bad.

I never actually posted on Twitter — just lurked and liked. But maybe it’s time for a change.

Or not. I dunno yet. Gonna go eat a pint of Graeter’s caramel chip and stare at the wall for an hour in the hope that I find peace.
