I’m sure you must have been innocent once? I mean, it may be a long time ago, but once?

Almost a halo!
I’m not sure if its every series, but S2 is going in mid-May
Watching some more Schitt’s Creek. Hard to realise that Catherine O’Hara is no longer here but it’s still a great watch. It’s leaving Netflix soon so I need to get through the rest of the series quickly!
Too flappy for my liking. Long sleeves rolled up is my limit!
Hmm will be interesting to see how criticism of the Pope goes down amongst the rabid followers.
As good a judge of their fitness for office as anything!
Oh there are going to be some very unpleasant people around the world who’ll be very unhappy tonight … awww diddums www.theguardian.com/world/live/2...
I’ve been enjoying this too
It’s the law!
Photo shows a brick ramp with wooden insets along both sides if the ramp surface to provide grip.for tank tracks The ramp is surrounded by trees characteristic of land unused for 40+ years
An information board describing how Denis Healey mentioned the tank unloading in bitter cold and locals recalling the sight of tanks lined up along the adjacent road
A brick lined circular turntable pit approximately 50 ft in diameter with some edging slabs around the rim.
An information board explains how locomotives could be turned manually and depicts photos of several examples on the turntable
Close to my mother’s home near Barnsley, there’s a WWII ramp for loading & unloading tanks that were transported by train. Soldiers were trained for D-Day in the hills above her town. Close by, there’s also a turntable pit visible; a rotating deck would’ve been used to turn steam locomotives
Managed the gym again today. Tried a couple of new machines after observing others using them. Somewhat achy now, so whether I’ll make it again tomorrow I’m not sure. I may need to get up earlier one morning during the week and go before work.
Hands up if you’re completely discombobulated about what day it is 🙋♂️
Totally peripheral, but rhyming shores with galore seems desperate!
This looks fabulous and a way of making my walks around Tyneside even more interesting
Went to the gym again today. Caught a reflection of my body from the side while changing. Ugh. I clearly need to spend a LOT of time there!.
Diesel now up to £1.91/litre around here. That’s quite a change from a few weeks ago, when it was close to dropping below £1.40. While diesel isn’t everything in the cost of logistics, a rise of nearly 40% is really going to hurt. There’s no end in sight either.
On a Teams call with colleagues. One mentioned not getting the hang of Thursdays and those of a certain generation riffed for a few minutes on Douglas Adams.
My housemate has taken my car for its first service. Apparently dealer is having to deal with another customer who has failed to have their car serviced at all, the finance company is refusing to take it back and customer can’t now afford their new car . Oops.
Trying desperately to reduce my hours on one of my 3 projects before all 3, rather than just 2, require 3 days per week and another project starts next month. 🤔
Once saw my cat Bede sat on a flat roof above the front door. Problem was that it wasn’t my front door.
Donated platelets again today. Minor hiccup that it took ages for the wound to stop bleeding after the needle was removed. All fine though even if it took longer than usual.
This was no surprise, butvsurprused it wasnt more money being waged. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...
Two trips to the gym this weekend, so am again feeling physically tired. Will see if I can keep it up. Won’t be going next weekend, so will try to go a couple of times during the week. Gym app suggests Wednesdays and Friday are quieter.
View of a new apartment development with two mobile cranes dismantling a tower crane. The development is flanked on both sides by bridges, with the masonry and steel King Edward rail bridge on the far right
A third smaller crane is visible in this shot.
Against a blue sky a mobile crane with extension boom lifts a section of a yellow tower crane over an apartment block. Two of Newcastle’s bridges are visible on the right.
Against a blue sky a mobile crane with extension boom swings back to remove more of a yellow tower crane. Two of Newcastle’s bridges are visible on the right.
These new apartment blocks on the edge of Newcastle are now structurally complete and the last tower crane is being dismantled by a mobile crane which probably itself needed erecting by a crane.
Found out this week that a colleague has accepted redundancy terms and will be leaving at the end of the month. They’ve had a difficult couple of years personally so see this as a fresh start, but for me it has brought back difficult reminders of almost being made redundant 3 years ago.
I love this - a touching account of a boy trying to deal with AuDHD with the help of Tennant & Smith. www.theguardian.com/culture/2026...
Nice to have a new word game to add to the three NYT games I do daily. Unlike my father, I’ve never been great at cryptic crosswords but Parseword is a good way of getting my head into them. I’ll get myself off learn mode soon I hope!
