Hamas is not the lesser evil.

He's made it quite clear.

He stands with Piker, sharing his views

Comparing any democratic society with HAMAS & deciding HAMAS is better is so fucked up & illustrative of an alignment with terrorists.

Not only is it antisemitic, it's indicative of not caring for Gazans safety & freedom.

Trump just accidentally filmed a campaign ad for Democrats. He told Virginia voters that if they pass fair redistricting maps, the GOP will lose the House and Democrats will actually pass legislation. Don’t threaten us with a good time, Donald.

Worth noting how many organizations like SPLC neutered themselves and the work that they do, trying to avoid this very moment. Especially since Trump won again. But MAGA was always going to come for them. And eventually, we'll all be targets. No matter how much we tried to remain nonpartisan, etc.

This. Every time you see a "successful" trans person, know we are just one transphobe away from losing everything. This is one reason why it is important for allies to actually ally when we're not around -- transphobes should know their views aren't acceptable to anyone.

It’s quite a thing to see the “progressive” left rally behind the billionaire who has never held public office instead of the son of immigrants who grew up w 3 sisters in a 1 bdrm apt & has dedicated 35 years to fighting for the people.

Brb, looking up the definition of “oligarchy” & “fighter”…

55 years in the fight against hate. Still pushing forward.

We’re ready for what comes next.

Congratulations, Virginia! Republicans are trying to tilt the midterm elections in their favor, but they haven’t done it yet. Thanks for showing us what it looks like to stand up for our democracy and fight back.

The oldest hatred is back, and I am absolutely done with this shit. Get angry and then get angrier. If the West cannot stand with its Jews when they are threatened, blamed and smeared with recycled blood libels, then we are dead as societies.

It's heartwarming when non-Jews speak up for us.

A Beacon of Hope in the Fight Against Hate and Extremism
A Beacon of Hope in the Fight Against Hate and Extremism YouTube video by Southern Poverty Law Center

Indictment of @splcenter.org is based on clear false narrative.

False: DOJ and Kash Patel's claim that SPLC supported white supremacist groups via paying informants.

Reality:

“We frequently shared what we learned from informants with local and federal law enforcement, including the FBI."

After building the best public education system in the world brought us the Counterculture and the Anti-War Movement, conservatives in the US began a 50+ year assault to destroy public education.

Later in the 1970s, Roger Freeman — a key educational adviser to Nixon then working for the reelection of California governor Ronald Reagan — spelled out quite precisely what the conservative counter attack was aimed at preventing: "We are in danger of producing an educated proletariat. That's dynamite! We have to be selective on the we allow to go through higher education. If not we will have a large number of highly trained and unemployed people." The two most menacing institutional sources of the same described by Freeman were obviously those two great public university systems charging no tuition: the University of California and the City University of New York. Governor Reagan was able to wipe out free tuition at the University of California.

Most of the pundit cottage industry is based around obfuscating a very simple truth out of psychological self-protection, that one of America’s two major parties came to be the Demented Psycho Evil-Ass Rape Party from affirmative choices their voters made of their own free will because they liked it

5. The SPLC made it clear that it was sharing intel with law enforcement in the video they released just this morning:

4. When Patel announced he was cutting off SPLC, he wrote:

“I made it clear that the FBI will never rely on politicized or agenda-driven intelligence from outside groups — and certainly not from the SPLC.”

He knows SPLC was providing intelligence on extremist groups but he didn’t say that today.

3. The indictment doesn’t mention that SPLC provided intelligence from its informant program to law enforcement/FBI to dismantle extremist groups.

But that fact, which will surely come out in discovery, undermines the entire premise the DOJ/FBI case.

2. Kash Patel himself cut off “all ties” between the FBI and SPLC less than a year ago. So he knows SPLC was feeding the FBI intel on extremist groups - that is, seeking to “dismantle” these groups, just as they told donors. Nothing in the indictment shows they misled donors.

Federal Grand Jury Charges Southern Poverty Law Center for Wire Fraud, False Statements, and Conspiracy to Commit Money Laundering A Grand Jury in Montgomery, Alabama, today returned an indictment charging the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) with 11 counts of wire fraud, false statements to a federally insured bank, and conspi...

1. The central claim in the indictment of SPLC is a lie.

The DOJ/FBI accuse SPLC of lying to donors about seeking to “dismantle” extremist groups while secretly funding them. But the funds were used to infiltrate & help law enforcement dismantle these groups. Kash Patel knows this is the truth…

Who paid the tariffs? Consumers who gets the refund? Businesses who pays for the refund? Taxpayers this has all been so much fun. I’m so glad we all get to keep winning like this.

So, we didn’t just pay for the tariffs, we paid for the tariffs twice?

"Send us money to help build a border wall" and then instead buying yourself 18 more rumpled polo shirts to wear simultaneously, that's donor fraud. "Send us money to help research and track extremists" and then spending that money on obtaining information about extremists groups is... not fraud.

Trump Is Said to Be in Talks to Send Afghans Who Aided U.S. Forces to Congo

Absolutely disgraceful. These are people who stood with us, fought alongside us, and trusted our word. Turning our backs on them now is a moral failure, not to mention a dangerous signal to anyone who might consider coming to our aid in the future.

But when you get genuine, prolonged shortages - the sort that are accompanied by rationing - you make *permanent* changes.

Rationing is so psychologically scarring that it induces people to make long-delayed investments that result in *permanent* changes to their consumption habits.

Deal with it.

Any indictment coming out of this DOJ should be treated as presumptively fallacious. The real story is more likely to be the weaponization of DOJ against opponents of the regime. And the target should be given ample opportunity to respond and contextualize high up in the story.

The theory of the case -- that the SPLC defrauded donors by promising to "dismantle" hate groups while secretly paying informants inside said hate groups, a tactic that it has carried out for nearly half a century -- is completely absurd.
