A costal meadow before sunrise. It is winter, so there is snow in the ground and water is frozen. On foreground are silhouettes of some trees, and across the bay is black line of a forest. Almost black sky changes to blue, yellow and finally orange towards the horizont.

Coastal pasture covered in snow On foreground is isolated group of trees and on background forest limits the pasture. Lights of the city can be seen in the horizon. Sun has just set, so sky and snow are colored in hues of dark blue. Trees are only black silhouettes. On the sky Jupiter is visible over the group of trees at the foreground.

A tram is crossing a lit bridge. Sun has already set but it is not completely dark, last remains of light can be seen beyond the tram. The bridge crosses a frozen bay. Beyond the tram is also an office block, from looks of it, build in the 1970's.

I just learned about Irys photos. It is too early to say if it is good or not, but its principles sound right.
Absolutely yes, especially if you are not photographing anything moving (too) fast or try to print very large images. I used my 350D few years ago and it was still OK for slow paced photography.
