A gold-painted round mirror reflects the spare contents of a room: a framed floral painting, a window with the shade pulled up, and a 1912 wooden door with a bronze doorknob.
Thrifted a mirror and hung it up today. My writing room refresh is feeling so much lighter now. ✨

Japanese Kwanzan cherry blossoms in a pom-pom in the park 🌸
Oh my gosh, it’s been a pink explosion! 🌸🌸🌸
Blossoming cherry trees, sunlit red lanterns strung across the street, and blue sky in a glimpse of Victoria’s pleasant Chinatown.
A moment in our little Chinatown today. 🩷 #yyj
Close-up of a magnolia blossom, starting to fade as green leaves emerge, and leaving a cheerful petal confetti on the grass.
When the magnolia blossoms start to fade, they offer such a cheerful confetti. 🌸✨

NASA's Blue Marble picture of Earth, from 1972
It's only worth going back to the Moon if it makes us look properly again at Earth, and appreciate how beautiful, precious and fragile what we have here is. The most famous images from Apollo aren't about the Moon - they're pictures of Earth. We need to stop taking our home for granted.

Oh Vic. 💔 My heart goes out to you. I said good-bye to my soul dog on my birthday last year, and I am still wrecked.

Making time this morning to ‘watch’ your new episode. ✨ I’m here for all the sweet and bittersweet. 🩵

A mature cherry tree in full blossom in downtown Victoria, Canada.
It is good medicine to stand under the soft canopy of a blossoming cherry tree. 🌸
Jef Bourgeau Girl with Yellow Hat. In one corner, a woman is seated wearing a yellow hat and a green coat, sitting at a table. In front of her is a cup of coffee, next to the cup a small vase with yellow flowers. She is seated in a red chair, behind which is a small painting.

I’m excited to hang it on my wall and imagine visiting this alpine lake. 💙💙💙
*least* expect it 😄
To fall in love with art, when you lest expect it…to cross paths with a random painting or story or song that moves you. 🩵
A watercolour landscape painting of mountains, pine trees, and an alpine lake, on a counter with sample mats and a new frame.
Thrifted (saved) an original Canadiana watercolour painting, and took it to the framing shop today for some love. 💚🩵 I hope the artist in the Great Beyond is smiling, knowing her work is bringing me joy.
