Wait wait WAIT. Microsoft Excel can't use a date picker in a cell without using plugins or third party stuff? Am I going crazy? Surely excel is supposed to be the most universal and useful spreadsheet for like, everyone. What are you even DOING Microsoft??!

I'm not sure I know this one either - though I'm sure my wife does (let's not tell her I'm ignorant)! Hard to mistake that voice though!
Torches. Bike lights. Hiking head torches. Christmas lights. So many of these things have multiple "modes" (sometimes dozens) but nearly always one button. I hate it. Give me a physical dial, or switches. I know it's more expensive! One button tech is horrible to use.
RGU has introduced an Open Access and Rights Retention policy, which launched on the 1st March 2026. Read all about it on our blog: wp.me/p4ffyD-2UO
"There is no ethical consumption under Capitalism" is meant to explain things like why you shouldn't get mad at poor people for shopping at the only place they can afford. It's not meant for you to feel guilt free for consuming bigoted wizard books written by the TERF lady.
Good Friday has a lot to live up to.
bullseye!
I've been running this for about a dozen sessions now and I love it. The game really lends itself to building drama over time. The "rival" NPC element is so well thought out and really adds JUICE to the narrative. I recommend this to EVERYONE I speak to.
Copilot advised my colleague to wear blackface to a wedding.
Watched the Theroux Manosphere doc yesterday. It felt like low effort Theroux, but still necessary and good to see. I agree that it could have gone harder or deeper but putting this dark, hidden stuff on display is a net good. These men are not well, nor happy. RUN ANGIE!! RUN!!!
A portable CD player in the shape of the Defiant ship from Star Trek: Deep Space 9. The image shows the device itself and the slightly battered box it was sold in.
I stumbled across this image today and just had to share it. Portable CD player in the shape of the USS Defiant from Star Trek: Deep Space 9. Incredible.
I have to use a mic in certain lecture theatres. They have them at the podium. Only there's no techies. If I'm lucky there's a lecturer. And sometimes they just shrug and tell me to shout :-D
My fear, rooted in inexperience, is that the tech will fail me, I will use it wrong, I will be speaking "on mute" or worse I will boom the house down. I feel like I need monitors so I can gauge my level :-D We use them only rarely in larger lecture theatres at the university I work at (librarian)
Happy to say my Leckie collection is still here - but a worrying post, and I also would likely struggle to remember what I have and have not bought. Digital technology is betraying us!
Oh no, also adored the Radch trilogy, have them on Kindle... will check this right away!
Currently at level 11. Took "aquagirl" feat so I could swim safely to Diamond City at a very early level and get Piper as a companion; as I am melee-only I need a hired gun. Have cleared Olivia Satellite Station, next on my list is Corvega. The first big test.
Ok I'm backing down on this one. I was wrong.
I WON'T BACK DOWN
I get that reference.
It was a nice run. Try not to get too English while you're down there.
People with coughs.... you HAVE to stop.
Woke up early this morning to build my next #Fallout4 #Permadeath Sole Survivor. Her name is Khan and will be an alcoholic melee-only luck build. Rules are - Survival mode, vanilla (no mods), if she dies once, game over. This must be my 100th character by now.
Yesterday another #Fallout4 Sole Survivor bit the permadeath bullet. Her name was Blue and she was assaulting the Switchboard with Piper and Deacon when, despite having a sneak skill high enough to not trigger mines, Deacon wandered into a cluster of cryomines and killed all of us. Level 31. RIP.
IT BELONGS IN A MUSEUM
My friend, I have built one Zaku gunpla and I barely knew what I was doing, but this looks AWESOME. I used to kitbash WH40k as a teenager and what you're doing here is fantastic. Can't wait to see this evolve (and have been enjoying your older posts too)
Robert Gordon Uni #RGU has a school outreach event downstairs, it's basically Basketball Robot Wars and the schoolkids are SCREAMING they are having so much fun. A few grumbles in the library because the noise really travels but personally I think it's awesome. They are having the best time.
Such a great episode! Sam is an amazing guest, get him back again!
Part 2 of my "3:10 to Yuma" inspired #ChasingAdventure lunchtime TTRPG game runs tomorrow and in the spirit of the #LazyDM I am keeping prep to an absolute minimum. I have index cards for important places, NPCs and baddies. I have game rules on a PowerPoint for quick reference.
FOLLOWING :-)
Looks good, thanks for sharing!
