Again, to be clear, i'm in favor of Blizzard fixing its API to include privacy settings from in game. I don't see a problem with that.
Are people sharing there housing with you understanding that we could copy their house 1:1 as well? They gave consent to share their house, but we have the ability to copy it because you are sharing it. Not that I would because I like my train graveyard house, but people can copy what you share.
I still think Blizzard should have enabled the privacy settings to the API. People are giving WoWhead way too much shit for this and its unwarrented.
But people have been "stealing" other peoples housing ideas since Alpha and Beta by watching housing videos and your tours. Also, the players do not own the designs. Blizzard does, so no one is stealing anything.
It states in te Blizzards TOS that we do not own anything we do in the game.
