ah no, its just stretch and squish xD if it worked, it would produce a neat wiggle that would pretty much feel like stylized jet blast, but of course, this one is a blade instead.
buut.. if blockbench/plugin are really ornery, i may try something like a flipbook UV animation

well these blades are meant to 'ignite' into form and shut off, which means they need to scale or hide
not sure.. all i know is that the blockbench plugin doesn't give a darn that i want to animate scaling or hiding of the blades..
at this point i'm wondering if i can just use the blades part of this mesh as a weapon, instead of trying to bother with armor animations.. still won't get me scaling tho

very few actual custom, cinematic animations.. hytale already has a lot of synergy with other mods i could just pull some fancy anims from. or trigger mine. Like, these gauntlets would go perfectly with that 'Unarmed Combat' mod, if the blades could suddenly just pop out and turn punches into stabs
i have a dummy mod and a world where i copy-paste stuff into, and test ingame, but that is it.. one would think hytale would have some way to preview animation without like.. assigning it.. Owo
ye.. i thought that if i animated it in the code itself, (editing the json file, old school) that the stretch and squish would work, but blockbench or hytale plugin doesn't give a rats.. err.. you get the picture xD
and i haven't figured how to preview the anim in hytale, in case it actually worked
cool, i would like to know how to remove some stretch/squish restrictions on hytale models.. like how they do with eyelids
i have animated a lot of tweaks in this model already, but mainly small movements of legs that are now digitigrade. what i don't like is when i can't animate a simple stretch and squish, because blockbench, or its plugin, got something wrong with it.. and later, yes, i would like to order some anims

(kinda looking for someone who knows how the heck to scale or hide box groups in animation.. Hytale Blockbench plugin has totally refused to do that

but it doesn't use them? Oo now i wonder if some of the edible items need to be checked for which animation they use, so you can then assign yours
or any 'use item' because i've seen that hand-bob in potions too

so.. have you assigned each animation manually in the player model animations section? or are you relying on just blanket file replacing? the first one is tedious, yes.. but i did go for it
as for emotes.. i'm not sure.. shouldn't hytale site have a modding guide by now?
