the fundamental disconnect between the manosphere and reality is that they are incapable of understanding that this is - according to every woman I’ve ever met - the sexiest thing a man has ever done

So one of the things that I think is lost on AI proponents is what I call the card catalog effect, a thing I shouldn’t call it because a lot of people probably have no experience with a card catalog.

semi-regular "please follow @ap.brid.gy " post. it will let people on Mastodon and the fediverse see your posts which is W for the open web

(most of the annoying people from these places don't subscribe to the bridge so don't worry about running into Those types of people)

I'm a massive Golden Girls fan, so I can think of no better leadership for my Adeptus Sororitas. I've been working through this concept for YEARS and I'm excited to finally have it accomplished.
Shout out to @bssterrain for the amazing head sculpts.

I was led to believe by R.E.M. that I would feel a lot better about this.

THANK YOU. I thought I was the only one who found this absolutely delightful.
May you someday get Marvel-size money without losing your soul.

I believe that’s categorized as “grate-stage”capitalism because every day is the sensation of your self worth being slowly sliced away by tiny, tiny knives.
And it doesn’t end. I felt the same way when I got approved for a mortgage #propertyistheft

Wonder how he feels about this.

I am so, so ashamed and sorry that we let this happen again.

Yes, this. I’ve been thinking a lot about how just reacting plays into their game.
What if they did everything they could to turn us against each other, to live in fear…and we calmly cared for each other and shared joy?
It would not only be more fun…it would make them SOOOOO mad!
Makes me giggle.

This is the problem with not being able to prove a negative. “Stop doing that thing you’re not doing! Right now!” is a hard argument to fight.

More power to you! I am glad you spoke up, because I like your feed. Definitely followed.
Be well!

A quote from the writer AR Moxon from 2017. He wrote:

"Historians have a word for Germans who joined the Nazi party, not because they hated Jews, but out of a hope for restored patriotism, or a sense of economic anxiety, or a hope to preserve their religious values, or dislike of their opponents, or raw political opportunism, or convenience, or ignorance, or greed. That word is "Nazi." Nobody cares about their motives anymore. They joined what they joined. They lent their support and their moral approval. And, in so doing, they bound themselves to everything that came after.
Who cares any more what particular knot they used in the binding?"

You seem very determined to pick a fight with me, but I don’t really see the point.
All words did not exist at one point or another. “Enshittifying” is a good example. So is using a gerund as a noun for your username.
Also, it was only an insult if you take it as such.

Not interested in debating -isms with you, my nonenunciative friend, it was a joke because back then they spent a lot of time indoctrinating us with the idea that “commies” were bad, and they were immediate threats. So me being stationed in socal was kind of silly.

Ouch! Thanks for the answer. Your eponymous doppelgänger served with me in the infantry back then, protecting the beaches of southern Cali from the perils of communism. I only remember his name a vague facial resemblance, which is why I asked. Carry on!

I just wish #yall would signal boost the Black people who are telling you this is Jim Crow more than you signal boost the non-black people who are saying it's Nazi Germany.

I know why you won't though. . .

This is one of the things that scares me. Many nonprofits I know and love that are working to protect people and mitigate the damage feel that they need to stay on these platforms because that's how they connect with people.
but the platforms control that connection...
