I love the show but it's limp in a number of important ways and, yeah, even sorta boring. The first arc (ie the episodes about their first short) was great, the second was fine, and the third was forgettable.

Anime criticism should use the words "shot" and "cut" normally - a shot is a continuous series of frames and cuts come between shots. I say this because カット (literally "cut") means "shot", but sometimes people translate it as "cut" - especially annoying because it's backwards from regular usage!
