I very rarely mess with my niece and nephew, so when I do they just fully trust me, it’s amazing lmao

When my nephew was six, I dyed my hair and then convinced him that it turned purple because I drank so much grape koolaid.
My sister was very confused why he all the sudden started demanding koolaid 😂
Not only that, but Texas illegally redrew maps five years early (supposed to be once a decade) AND they literally were threatening Dems refusing to make quorum with prison and had them followed around by police.
Like that shit was insane and I’m still mad!!
My suggestions are the only things I specifically made tags for on Storygraph: sword lesbians and toxic lesbians 😂
Oh, also because I keep reading these by accident: cannibalism, but make it feminist
I don’t have a problem with bi/pan women identifying as lesbians if they only date women but also don’t be weird about it and change your label based on who you’re dating? Just say you’re bi/pan if you want to also date men?
Anyway I don’t know who you’re talking about but she sounds annoying 😂
ah yes that’s definitely how that works
If you need a rec I will happily provide!!
It has come to my attention that this week is both National Library Week and Lesbian Visibility Week. Your local lesbian librarian (me) decrees you all need to read a lesbian book in my honor.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Oh they’re not. I have a friend who once read 400 books in one year because she was working in an Amazon warehouse and listening to books on double speed every shift, and then she’d read 3-4 books on the weekends, but she was very depressed at the time and not posting about it 😂
Some of the ones who read a million books a year just have jobs where they can listen to audiobooks all day, the rest are just skimming and only reading dialogue
I fixed it on Storygraph so it makes grammatical sense now, it was bothering me 😂
There was whole thing on booktok apparently where a bunch of people said they don’t read prologues and epilogues 😂
Cover of Daggerbound by T. Kingfisher, featuring two crossed swords on a purple background, tagline “love is a dagger to the heart.”
Cover of Buffalo Hunter Hunter by Stephen Graham Jones, author of The Only Good Indians. Features the front half a buffalo giving the reader side eye.
CR:
📚: DAGGERBOUND, netgalley ARC. Swordheart is one of my favorite Kingfishers, so excited to dig into the sequel!
🎧: BUFFALO HUNTER HUNTER, got to skip the Libby line on this but i finished my other book first and now I have 3 days to get though 85%, wish me luck 😂

I’m a sucker for a horror novel/film with a good “oh SHIT” ending, what can i say
My storygraph review for: Her Wicked Roots by Tanya Pell 4.0 stars “Those booktok girlies who don't read epilogues are going have to find this a VERY different book.”
Was kind of bored for the first 2/3rds of Her Wicked Roots and still had it only at a 3.5 stars by the end until that utterly perfect epilogue 😂
This Is Just To Say
I have turned off
the AI features
that were in
the update
and which
you were probably
hoping
to monetize
Fuck you
they were stupid
so unnecessary
and so annoying
What do you mean it’s “lesbian visibility week”? Don’t look at me
Also I’m mildly allergic to the flea spray which is really great, I love itching from hives all the time while I’m paranoid about fleas crawling on me
I didn’t let the cats sleep on my bed last night because I’d aggressively washed all my bedding and sprayed it all down and I didn’t want to risk getting fleas in my bed. It was very sad. I like having little lumps at my feet 😭
I’m also kind of struggling though Her Wicked Roots because I’m not finding it particularly compelling so I guess this weekend was just kind of a reading bust
The longer I think about this book the more I think the four stars I gave it on storygraph was too generous. It was beautifully written with gorgeous characters and hilarious but that ending was just unforgivable.
Found a flea over by the cat outdoor play tent my friend gave me (somewhat against my will) a month ago and I think I may have found the vector…
Unfortunately I have nowhere to put it except in my hallway but I have sprayed it down with flea killer and will maybe trash bag it up tomorrow
I’ve had the same editor since 1967. Many times he has said to me over the years or asked me, Why would you use a semicolon instead of a colon? And many times over the years I have said to him things like: I will never speak to you again. Forever. Goodbye. That is it. Thank you very much. And I leave. Then I read the piece and I think of his suggestions. I send him a telegram that says, OK, so you’re right. So what? Don’t ever mention this to me again. If you do, I will never speak to you again
Maya Angelou on the joys of being edited
In retrospect I should have looked at the Storygraph tags and realized it’s not a romance but still that was devastating 😭
I finished palm meridian and IM SO FUCKING UPSET NO ONE SPEAK TO ME FOR A WEEK
I’m taking them to the vet on Wednesday for shots so I’ll get the good stuff then, for now I’m trying to get them to eat the flea pills (Evangeline has refused even the pill pocket treats 😭) and brush some waterless foam flea shampoo into their coats (Felicity is UNHAPPY about this)
Why the hell did I pay all that money for the prescription flea treatment if it doesn’t even WORK
My cats have fleas 😑😭💀
My friend just read it recently and was complaining about it the whole time 😂
Tbh I’m not super interested because to me it’s giving writing fanfic of your own book…lol
It does feel a little bit Stephenie Meyer doing gender swapped twilight but I will say having read some of Veronica’s more recent books, I trust her way more than Stephenie lmao
