A friend of mine who works for HUD got an email today....
It basically that "if you know anybody who is a "DEI hire", it's your job to turn them in."
Let's be clear. What this really does is to put a target on the backs of people of color who work there.
This is the only thing today is about.
The only thing.
Every year, Tahiti feels like a wiser choice.
The Village People??
If you're looking for me on FB, I deactivated for my mental health.
Lately, I've been so worried about what might happen that I'm completely ignoring some things that are actually happening. That I am healthy. That I am loved. And, right now, I have all that I need.
Even in our darkest times, we have to remember to not allow dread to completely take over.
What's really sad about what's going on is that we think we're free.
But I don't feel free right now. I've never felt less so. And I fear it's going to get worse.
I'm here.
