You're not asking for advice but FWIW a set of nitelites and plug-in pheromones really helped with our 18-year-old's extensive evening screaming

The flap was excised from a terrible pair of jorts the kid had the good sense to repurpose. She pronounced it "epic."

Orange messenger-style bag with a blue triangle flap, red sides, and a purple geometric pattern strap. Looks like something you'd get at a craft fair, not a tween's second sewing project!

I helped an 11 yo make her dream sewing project today and we were both delighted

If your chapters are too long, try to pinpoint the cause. It's likely either:

1) too much evidence
2) too much background
3) too many arguments
4) all of the above

Most writers' work can be condensed by 10-20 percent though aggressive line editing, but more than that, gotta address the above.

Constructive version! Most books published by US-based university presses feature chapters in the 8-12,000 word range, including all citation apparatus. The more crossover-y the book, the shorter the chapters. Readers really struggle with anything longer than 15K.

I blame my basement bean bucket habit on Fukushima, but it's true that most of my fellow white people regard it with horror or wonder, depending on the economy

It's not just that Orbán losing inspires hope in other competitive-autocratic countries ruled by right-wing nationalist authoritarians. It's that his loss materially changes things in those other countries, because he's been operating as a headquarters and funding source...
