The European Commission has updated its methodological guide on SSbD.
We analyse what this update means and why this approach—which integrates safety, sustainability and social acceptance from the design stage—is gaining ground in European innovation policy.

Our colleague Vicente attended the EDF Info Days 2026 in Brussels, where the 2026 call topics and key programme changes were presented. Discussions highlighted Europe’s push for strategic autonomy, stronger industrial capabilities and cross-border collaboration.

Our colleagues Alba and Aleksandra are in Murcia attending the PHAntastic General Assembly, where Knowledge Value Consulting (Kveloce Group) is part of the consortium. Alba presented progress on the SSbD Framework and regulatory compliance, while Aleksandra shared updates from the Expert Group.

Today we held the second round of participatory workshops in Spain within the CO-SECUR project, organised by Kveloce and Instituto de investigación Polibienestar (UV), bringing together national stakeholders in an online dialogue on Social Innovation in Security (SIS).

Yesterday, our colleagues Alba Matamoros and Aleksandra Ross attended, on behalf of the CCRI Knowledge Hub (a project coordinated by Kveloce), the CCRI Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue: Consultation on CCRI Policy Recommendations in view of the Circular Economy Act, held in a hybrid format in Brussels.
