Hey, happy birthday from me and Pedro Pascal (both April 2 bdays)!
Happy birthday to dear Francis Coppola, whose positivity, creativity, and humanism deserves a day of celebration and not a day clouded by ludicrous threats from someone who's lacking in all three of those things.
This is such a great cover. Norm Breyfogle delivered a number of superb Batman covers but this one is a particular favorite.
I’m willing to find that limit (and surpass it) if you are!
Early or right on time, it’s just nice to be remembered by a Spaceknight of your stature.
Hey, thank you! It's this coming week but I treated myself to an early present at WonderCon this weekend in the form of this UK edition of your first issue. I love the "Marvel All-Colour Comics" band across the top.
This is crushing news. Oh Sam. What a sweet, sensitive, talented, empathetic, and lovely human Sam was.
A bit more about Saucer Country's path toward TV development and other such things in today's newsletter: substack.com/home/post/p-...

This week, we talk Savage Sword of Conan #12 by @chrisryall.bsky.social and Gabriel Rodriguez! Plus, what Starfleet Academy is doing well, and did Schwarzenegger eat a dead vulture?

I’m sure it was there in some layer of my subconscious but I’ve not see it since I was a kid so it was nothing deliberate, anyway.
Very happy you liked it! I've mostly avoided reviews on this one so far since this is my first venture into Conan's world and, while I know Gabe's art is stunning, I have no idea if my story would measure up to longtime Conan fans...
It does!

The cover to Joe Hill’s Rain by Zoe Thorogood the lead character and her girlfriend wearing a Klimt-like dress, both of them pierced through the heart by an ice dagger.
Just found out that someone who has been in our lives for 10 years, who’s been doing hard work here for 35 years, raised a family here, was roughly taken in December, thrown into detention and is now being deported on Monday. How is this making anything better?
I'm five episodes in and it's been a blast so far.
REP. OMAR after being attacked with liquid: “We will continue! These fucking assholes are not gonna get away with this! Here is the reality people like this ugly man don’t understand — we are Minnesota Strong. We’ll stay resilient in the face of whatever they might throw at us.”
I had a variation of this proud-dad moment over the holiday when my daughter asked to watch PULP FICTION , and then followed it up by asking me to explain the Gimp's lifestyle choices without kink-shaming him.
This is bad news for the world but also for Iron Maiden
And me.
We lost comic artist Sal Buscema over the weekend, and despite him being a mightily accomplished 89 at the time of his passing -- he would have turned 90 today -- I'm crushed that we lost him. However, I love that his decades of great work fills my bookshelves and spinner rack, and it always will.
Not Evil Morty but Morty the pug here does only have one working eye like his Evil namesake.
Proof:
tell me your pet's name in a gif*
*Nothing nefarious about my pet but since he only has one working eye, I went with the Evil version here.
