"Sylvain said you went out to lunch today," Dedue says as he chops vegetables by the sink. Dimitri is watching him cook like he does most nights now. Felix had retreated to his room when they'd gotten home with a slammed door. Dedue had watched the two of them come in from the couch with a raised eyebrow, but he hadn't said anything about it. Felix had left for the gym a couple of minutes later, shouting behind him not to expect him to be back for dinner. Dedue had turned his curious look to Dimitri, but Dimitri focused instead on chugging a whole glass of water with the two Excedrin pills Dr. Casagranda had told him to take when the pain became unbearable. Now though, Dimitri fidgets in his bar stool and considers the very real possibility that there's a group chat he's not in. The idea fills him with cold dread he can't explain.
