The most impressive part is that absolutely nothing will shake off the absurdly high 30% approval rating baseline.
Not even this.

probably completely obvious but the reason Project Hail Mary is doing so well (apart from being very well made) is that it is all about problem-solving, cooperation, self-sacrifice, and forming deep relationships with those from far away. All values that people feel a desperate need for right now.
We need to develop and build affordable housing in our city, just not… in anyone’s backyard, laneway, front yard, along a corridor, never on an avenue, heritage supersede housing and we all understand that under utilized parking lots are the heart of the neighbourhood.
we’re not going to get anywhere until we stop letting companies pay millions in settlements instead of putting their leadership in fucking jail
I do see a lot of activity and sense of urgency from otherwise politically-inactive demos, though, so there are some rays of sunshine that things could change.
I think we'll see a lot more organization towards a long-term strike out of this No Kings protest tomorrow. 🤞🏽
I just hope people wake up to the reality sooner than later. It pisses me off that I see across comments like "not all of us!" and"when will another country liberate us?".
We need to save ourselves in a bad way.
They don't need to. At this point Project 2025 is well underway and doesn't need pesky things like "voter support" anymore.
Not only will the recovery take decades, but it can't even start with his death because the rot is literally to the core. JD and Miller and all the technofasicsts are still alive and pulling strings.
There may not be another MAGA cult leader but that doesn't mean we're remotely in the clear.
Good for you. That's not the experience of everyone.
yeah im bummed about sora. bummed i sora bunch of stupid fake videos
Yeah but have you considered that if more people ride the train then it won't be as easy to get away with?
Although there will hit a saturation point where it doesn't matter since everyone is shoulder-to-shoulder and you can get away with it anyway.
The leading cities in Europe for alternative transportation still has cars yah dummies, lmao.
I safely rode bikes in Paris and Amsterdam and still saw plenty of cars.
Yet Paris has seen a huge decrease in air pollution and much less traffic.
I'm so tired of this talking point, no one is banning.
Whit type on black It’s really good we live so close to the store to get snacks – 10-year-old we all want walkable neighbourhoods
No big conspiracy.
oh ok
This regime is visibilizing its own crisis here!!! What an opportunity!!!
Democratic politicians should be going to airports and explaining how everyone has to wait in long lines & everyone is less safe only because the president wants to kidnap more people!!!
I'm a massive Nolan/Zimmer fan but I'm genuinely curious how you find Tenant enjoyable.
Harsh but true.
how
“It’s not my duty as Mayor to make sure you have a parking spot. It’s the same as if you bought a cow, or a refrigerator, and then asked me where you’re going to put them.” — Miguel Anxo Fernandez Lores, Mayor of Pontevedra, Spain
If you think about it, why WOULD it be the responsibility of cities to provide free parking for everyone’s cars? #UrbanTruth
Meanwhile bike fuel prices have not changed at Costco.
White text: strange how nobody cares about pedestrian safety until the villainous cyclist shows up.
The villain
This story is infuriating. The piece goes to great lengths to establish empathy for the women who negligently killed an entire family. The idea that it's unreasonable to permanently revoke her driving privileges and make her plead guilty to a crime is fucking outrageous.
How is this war protecting us?
Around here there's been a shortage for years, so they probably are getting pretty desperate.
I hope so too, but I also won't blame them for being hesitant because of the possibility of having another Trump 4 years later.
Nah this needs to be more than a new president. The last few decades have proven that we need to overhaul most of the system, which basically runs on vibes at this point.
That's not gonna happen overnight, and the changes needed will require actions from people invested in not changing a thing.
