I've seen the same, and even people trying to get close to other associated creators for access to their intended target. Rarely have those people had the motivation to stick around for long or produce much actual work ime.

Thank you for recognising editors, I think we are often overlooked in terms of the skills and time it takes to get the balance of sound while highlighting the voice actor/s.

i JUST started editing a few months ago.

its so time consuming. im not efficient. it takes me 6-8 hours to clean audio. takes me even more to get myself to even start sound scaping. im not even attempting master 2 voices on 1 audio. people dont realize the effort needed.

Pancakes... but thats basically always what I would, given a choice, choose for breakfast.

Im doing it because the wrong kind of guys are intimidated and the right kind are intrigued and maybe a lil competitive 🫠

With very few exceptions I see the women of this community, writers, editors, VAs, designers etc etc, doing the heavy lifting on this. Its especially galling from the ones who know the right words to say while failing over and over to back them up with actions
