2-panel comic

1st panel, titled UI. Mom and dad standing over a crib with the baby. A mobile with cute animals is turning over the baby. Mom says "I love it!" dad says "Me too!"

2nd panel, titled UX: From baby's POV only animals' assholes are visible.

Everything Google did used to be much better. I had no idea about that Eich guy. Maybe it's time to do a full switch over to Firefox (again)!

Shit I want AI to do Shit current “AI” should be doing (tl;dr - enhance all of the algorithmic processes involved in the following): Any and all kinds of medical imaging/analyses Look at [images/data], and predict the ch...

Despite what I post, I am not against AI. I'm against what's currently being sold as AI.

I actually keep a running doc of actual use cases for the tech we currently have. The problem? None of it makes money.

Companies will ignore this until the end of time because "AI" sells. We [consumers] are dumb as rocks and will continue to slurp it up. Environment and risks be damned.

We deserve what we get at this point.

Car reviewer tears into the Cybertruck for 20 minutes Yes, everyone knows the Cybertruck is bad. I guarantee nothing will make you understand how bad more than this extended review, though.

If you absolutely need to travel Yonge St. on a regular basis, in a single car for some reason, you're in the minority. Figure it out. There's a subway that runs underneath from the lake to Finch.

I'm all for this. The majority of storefronts can be serviced via laneways or underground service points (Eaton Centre/Marshall's etc...). Prioritizing emergency vehicles will be tricky though. Rideshare drivers already avoid Yonge when possible.

IMO the examples in this article just don't resonate with me, nor can I find an example where I'd use this. I grew up when "learning how to find information" was an actual skill, which was taught. I feel like this is lost on people today.

Another reason to switch from Chrome (Brave is great!).

This is all the more stupid with the price of fuel (which we're also paying for). Is there a way to file a flight path directly into the Sun?

Shop in-person when you can. Online, compare prices when logged out vs logged in (esp on delivery apps). I haven't seen an example of this being applied to me yet, but trust that corps WILL enable this if it's not banned outright.

Also, don't use Amazon.

We won't vote, and we're distracted by schemes involving cheap beer.

Collectively, we just don't care. It's been that way for almost a decade.

This is why traffic will never get better. One one side, the city says "don't run red lights." On the other it says "red light cameras are a significant source of revenue."

Why would the city want to act to reduce a significant revenue stream?

Just for kicks I was taking a look at places as far out as PEC. Honestly? Gorgeous & monumentally more affordable. The downside? A car is a must, and everything shuts down around midnight. Delivery is almost unheard of.

I will say the following: "Staggering" is overselling it, even for BlorgTO. Also, 577K may seem maybe possibly within reach for a condo, until you realize that the majority for sale are the size of Doug Ford's library & held together by drywall & good intentions.

It's hard to articulate the level of anger & rage I have about watching this happen. I first saw weev doxx people I love *TWENTY* years ago. I spoke to founders of multiple social networks about the risk of these people over 15 years ago. I wrote about it all a dozen+ years ago. They let it happen.

IMHO - We've had literal decades to work on this idea, and no one's quite got it right. I believe 3 things need to be solved. 1: Privacy. Public spaces aside, how do you ensure people aren't recorded w/o consent? 2: Privacy. Who owns the recordable data? 3: Preventing/Blocking ALL Ads.
