I've been playing New Super Mario Bros U and Squeakcross at the same time and I keep imagining Yoshi's synth music overlay over Squeakcross's main menu music and am really bummed that's not a thing.

Star Fox 64 was so good and I'm constantly floored that every Star Fox since then has been mediocre to boring. To be fair, I never played Zero, so maybe I'd like it, but just amazing that an"flagship" has been dormant for so long and without a hit even longer.
You know what would be a great Star Fox reveal? A great Star Fox game that isn't a remake.

Imagine going back to 1997 and telling Final Fantasy fans that you are playing FFVII on a Nintendo device that fits in your pocket, bought the game for less than $10, it wasn't that big of a download, and it kind of looks like crap.

On that note, I would like a "New Super Mario Bros" collection at some point. My memory is that they're all painfully similar, but they're all solid games without an easy way of accessing them in 2026.
In another reality where the only Mario game is New Super Mario Bros U it would be one of the greatest games of all time. In this reality, where we have at least 3 stellar Mario games, it's /fine/. I'm having fun, but it doesn't push the needle at all. It's crime is doing what you'd expect it to.
Super Mario Bros U and I have a weird relationship. I shortcutted my way through the Wii U release and had no interest in 100%ing. Picked up it on Switch and thought I played it since I mastered Luigi U, only to discover last night I only beat the first world of SMBUDX. So, playing now. It's a'ight.
I might be wrong, but I think the New 3DS registers that analog nub on the right as a circle pad pro.
