You can export content thru typepad, which gives you a text file you can import to WordPress. Contact support and they'll (hopefully still) provide you with a download of all your images. Kind of a pain to get it all synced up in WP but doable.

I'm working with a client to move everything off. This was before the shut-down announcement but you can open a ticket and they'll create a download file for all your images. The text file provided can be imported into WordPress, kind of a hassle to sync up images but doable.
