"What changes do technologies bring to the way we behave as individuals and as a society that might backfire their potential gains?"
Key takeaway from our launch by Daniela Pigosso, pointing to the fact that human-centered engineering has to think and act beyond adoption and acceptance.

How do we, as a technical university, shape and engage the societal narratives about technology? Core question for an observatory for human-centered engineering.
Another take away from our launch. Peter Vesborg warns against simplifications that prevents us from appreciating necessary tradeoffs.
What is our room for maneuver when we develop technology? Do we have agency? First key take away from our launch event yesterday with @adler-nissen.bsky.social from the National Center for AI in Society (CAISA).
Thanks to everyone who came by and made the day very special 🙏

Ca 50 people standing in a circle on a vinyl floor that shows a large scale data visualisation. The people are standing around the edges of the vinyl carpet and look at the person presenting the map in the Center of the circle.
People standing scattered around a room looking on the floor. On the floor there is a large scale data visualisation showing a „map“ of scientific articles about algorithms and AI.
In the foreground there is a large scale data visualisation printed on a vinyl carpet. In the background there are 80 chairs with people sitting on them, looking at a stage and a screen where a presenter is giving a talk.
Today: for the first time exhibiting 3/4 of our large scale #datavisualisation about #algorithms at Ballerup library.
(Almost) 100 square metres of vinyl flooring showing 2 million scientific articles about AI.

Poster submission for the data sprint project "who's my host"
This week part of the team ventured out to participate in the #dmi25 winter school with the title "Chatbots and LLMs for Internet Research?"
Building on our #datavisualisation and #exhibitiondesign for grounding-ai.github.io, we hosted the project "Who's my host?" exploring personas across LLMs.
Let's hope the world will see us as semi random then ;)
Two postdoc positions in our group!
