Context switching is the evil brother of prioritization.

I‘m totally fine with AI supported writing. But looking at the currently published content: It gets longer, and that’s annoying, because I want to still read full articles, but it gets impossible. And no, I don’t think AI summaries a solution.
Sitting in a train. Working with Claude Code on next weeks plan with my phone (via happy). Works surprisingly well.
It’s fascinating how even the big and product centric companies regularly fall into the ‚we build it and they will come‘ trap. Of course people don’t just buy games at Steam, they enter a ecosystem to fulfill underlying needs.
I'm still totally flabbergasted by how bad the whole implementation of AusweisApp (German eID) is. It's technically ultra complicated, and the user experience is a maze mixed with randomness.
I still think the only way to fix this is to use this as the standard login for everyone in public service.
I will do another for Product Walk Berlin on Nov 6 🚶♂️
Join me and skip the small talk. We'll walk and discuss real product challenges - stakeholder management, AI tools, whatever's top of mind.
1.5 hours. Deeper conversations. Better than standing around with drinks.

Just installed ito (is open source). But dictly looks also interesting.
And yes OS will catch up. Question is if there will be a „pro“ play. Like Raycast vs. Spotlight.
It seems like every day there is a new speech2text Mac app. I’m wondering if there will be a winner and what their moat and differentiator will be. Or if this will go directly to OS integration (they already have the last gen tech integrated).
Is using Obsidian and Claude Code together Vibe Noting?
Dr Manhattan meme about time. Frame 1: IT IS 1999 AND SEMANTIC WEB AGENTS WILL BOOK MY HOLIDAY AUTONOMOUSLY. THE ONTOLOGIES ARE BEING DEVELOPED. I AM VERY EXCITED. Frame 2: IT IS 2016 AND CHATBOTS ON FACEBOOK MESSENGER WILL BOOK MY HOLIDAY. I DON'T NEED TO DOWNLOAD AN APP. I AM CHATTING WHERE I ALREADY CHAT WITH MY FRIENDS. I AM VERY EXCITED. Frame 3: IT IS 2025 AND OPENAI ARE INTRODUCING APPS IN CHATGPT TO BOOK MY HOLIDAY AUTONOMOUSLY. OPENAI HAS PARTNERSHIPS WITH BOOKING COM AND UBER. OPENAI IS BECOMING THE PLATFORM LAYER BETWEEN ME AND THE WEB. I AM VERY EXCITED.
This is hilarious: Ask your LLM if there is a seahorse emoji.

'Chat-Control' is such a silly idea, opening the road to every autocrat's wet dream. Can we please not destroy the secure infrastructure? weact.campact.de/petitions/ch...
Sounds to me not so unusual. The article says it’s an early prototype. Working out what functionality people need and what works in real circumstances, before introducing fine grained user management, event logging, etc. sounds smarter than creating ‘a perfect system’ that doesn’t do the job.
Ah, good idea. Can perplexity create csv or xls?
I’m trying to do some heavier research with ChatGPT. Basically getting infos about the Berlin startup scene. And it seems ChatGPT wants to save tokens. It’s again and again providing less things as I asked and also is arguing if I really need this info. Computers 🤷♂️
With all these ATS and AI conversions in the job application management systems. Is there a data format standard for CVs that ATS are using under the hood?
It feels like people are faxing CVs back and forth and are surprised a lot of stuff is going wrong.
Stuff that seems to be a thing in Germany, but not in the US: WhatsApp and Signal Communities.
I'm pretty surprised that it seems German professional networks actually run on WhatsApp.
I just gave ChatGPT a pixelated whiteboard of mine to test if it could still read it. It said yes, and made up all of it's context with content from former conversations.
Super interesting how the memory sometimes seems to work as a 'I think you want to hear' function.
The most problematic aspect about that, is that politics / public debate runs on opinion polling. I'm pretty sure that we would have different politics, if we would ask people about actual behaviors instead of asking about opinions.
1. It's well known (low risk for buying decision)
2. All data is already in Atlassian systems (no switching cost)
3. Everybody knows it (no training cost for new people)
4. Can be configured (we are special™)
Most enterprise software is not about the user, but the buyer (see rise of Azure Devops)
I've actually seen companies that were able to prioritize and focus. But I also seen many that were far away from this. The main difference: Focus comes with strategic decision making, if everything is 'a good idea' nothing is.
Business organizations tend to start over time to protect themselves from their customers and their staff. Look at any bank, insurance, telco, or similar. Customers are asked constantly to prove they are not fraudsters, and employees are operating in tight guardrails to ensure they are not stealing.
It seems like Instagram tweaked something on their suggestion algorithm. My abandoned account gets a lot of new followers. Probably the PM hits the goal, but nothing will change for a user or the business.
Are Vibe-Coder and Bro-Grammer the same?
Many pre-Covid Meetups transformed to online formats and with that to marketing sessions for the organizers. This is not a critique. Everybody is free to join these or not. But it's interesting how the format change from in-person to online also changed from many2many to one2many. Medium is message.
Two chairs and a table in an empty flat.
Almost a real office. I even would have a chair for a client.
