This fun @theatlantic.com piece @caity.bsky.social on free restaurant bread contains a bonus nugget, a ~1k word BS call-out of celebs & groups, by name, whose PR people don’t have the guts to answer a simple question, duly reported. For journos, this is LOL fun.

Since Tuesday, Trump has been
—backed down by Iran;
—embarrassed by Melania;
—undercut by Netanyahu;
—outplayed by Iran;
—abandoned by allies;
—humiliated by Vance’s team;
—booed by WWE fans;
—ignored by the Cal GOP;
—rejected by Hungary’s voters; &
—dissed by the Pope.
What might next week bring?
Church of Trump meme and text.
The Church of Trump, as expressed by Trump himself, in two posts.
Great advice, but plz tone down the righteous indignation.
A lot of us learned posting through trial-and-error, without training; so these kinds of mistakes can often occur thru innocent lack of knowledge of function rather than because someone is lazy, or hates to address disabled audience.
If this don’t beat all …
It’s only April, and we already have 2 extraordinary candidates for the 2027 Nobel Peace Prize:
—whoever convinced Trump he’d already won, and so he didn’t need to invade Greenland; and
—whoever convinced Trump he’d already won, and so he didn’t need to commit genocide in Iran.
America is on the verge of going somewhere that it can never come back from.
A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS? We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!
God help us.

My fear:
Dems can’t have a Big Tent Party insisting everyone under the tent hold lockstep views.
Until Dems tolerate more diversity of opinions, Trump can win, remain in power.
Much more Trump, the U.S. Constitution will fail, & U.S. democracy will fall.
Being anti-Trump needs to be enough for now.
Thrilled to announce that my short story "Arlene the White Oak Tree" has just been published by Flash Fiction Magazine. #WritingCommunity. #IndieAuthors. #ShortStories. #FlashFiction.

No.
Schedule every game except the Reds‘ opener for the same time. Return to the tradition of the first pitch being thrown in Cincinnati.
Wormholes are too dangerous to chance. What if someone like Cap Anson crawls thru?
R Sox-Reds opening day seems like a mismatch, Crochet v Abbott, a legit Cy Young candidate ace v. so-so team’s #2. But, wait: Abbott is 20 days older. Crochet has 13 more career innings. Abbott has 1 more career win. Crochet has 1 more career loss. Last year, Crochet, 2.52 era, Abbott, 2.87.
Real good news at a time when we all need real good news.
Is this author Mia Ballard destroyed?
Does she deserve to be?
Whether or not Ballard deservers it, might this be an effective warning to AI-sloppers?
Or is this a too-little, too-late stand against the AI invasion?
Once again, Marco Rubio wishes he could disappear into the couch cushions.
Book cover reveal!
Here's the cover for my upcoming short story anthology, DISPOSABLE GIRL AND OTHER TALES OF BRUTALITY AND WONDER.
(Cover by the goddess of design, Barbara Russell.)
A beautiful day for a ballgame, at the Tigers’ spring training stadium in Lakeland, Fla. Pirates won 5-3. Their 19-year-old SS prospect Konner Griffin is the real deal; arm like a rifle. #floridalife
I’m seeing a lot of ridicule of Markwayne Mullin using this image. For all I know, he might be as soulless as Kristi Noem. But this image, of him fearfully taking cover as a violent mob crashes the doors of the chambers, is as human a reaction as possible, not worthy of ridicule.
In the day of Japanese Bushidō honor code, they would literally fall on their swords.
Time is defined as a double helix of semiprecious stones at the center of the universe.
My friend and former colleague @janelleirwinfl.bsky.social on why the dissing that Trump gave the women’s hockey team is the usual bullshit, and it’s got to stop.
I didn’t have “I would have given myself a Congressional Medal of Honor if I could have” on my Bingo card.
And now, the cover reveal for my next novel, The Space Coast Tatler, designed by the incredible Barbara Russell. (Set to be published in late May!)
Another protest song. This one a sort of hard-driving, bluesy, country-rocker.
Keep 'em coming!

Keep them coming, music world.
