The political psych conference is getting a refresh this year! Please consider presenting your work. Junior faculty -- this is an EXCELLENT opportunity to build your professional network. Abstracts are due this Friday.
pairs well w the post I just saw from @dannagal.bsky.social
Paul Revere waved at me today and warned me about the regulars.
I've genuinely contemplated using season 1 or 3 (on the Big Dig and the New England fishing industry, respectively) as the basis for a semester-long policy process class.
(no shade towards season 2, on the Massachusetts state lottery; everyone should listen to that one too!)
When the kids were little, we'd spend Patriot's Day walking to a neighborhood restaurant (called Paul Revere restaurant), getting pancakes, watching the marathon on tv, and then seeing Paul Revere ride by, right outside the restaurant, on a horse. Highly recommend.

Finally hiked the entire Skyline Trail in the Middlesex Fells on one go yesterday (7.7 miles). Both me and the dog are ready to do a whole lot of nothing today but watch the snow (!)
Next season will be about health care and Romney!
Political scientists, if you haven’t listened to @iancoss.bsky.social podcasts, you’re missing out.

Just a regular passerby on the morning walk.
In our house, the tooth fairy left a $2 bill and gum for a first tooth. A few dollars and gum after that.
given all of the gross things dogs like, you probably don't have to worry about social desirability bias
If you are a person who wrote me a very polite email at any point in the last year asking when new Vital Statistics on Congress data was coming (you know who you are), today is your lucky day!
It wasn’t me this time! But I’m still very happy at this news. Thank you.
driving through NH yesterday, I saw several anti-T highway overpass protesters in multiple locations, a few no kings signs, and only one T sign.
Andrew Brook trail. Had to stop a little shy of the summit. Where the trail meets the ski runs still had a lot of snow.
I can’t believe I never hiked sunapee until today.
Took my new boots on their maiden voyage to Lake Solitude on Mt. Sunapee. Some lingering ice and snow on the trail. Porcupine quills on the trail too. Summit candy: Ritter sport pretzel.
Hiking trail with blue and black sap lines running across it.
Hiking in NH means you sometimes have to dodge maple sap lines.
I was offline hiking to a place called Lake Solitude
